Yes and no. This same thing could be said about going to a domme IRL, except that costs far more and lasts only one or two hours, but, in essence, any person doing online femdom roleplays OR actual sessions IRL is a "service domme", eg all her subs are her customers and essentially they can set any limits they want and pull out any time they want, because they're the ones paying.
There were conversations about service dommes on the old finder, and I get that some people hate how "fake" that experience is and how you as the sub are only pretending to be powerless, and that's why they said they prefer games and/or erotica stories to trying out their kinks IRL. I even tended to somewhat agree with them 3-4 years ago, (most games and stories are free too...) but when you're talking AI femdom chatbots this becomes a whole other conversation.
Sure, if you only ever use the free versions it's not the case, but if you actually pay for their extended features, isn't it the same like paying a human for that? Aren't you still a customer paying for a sex-work adjacent service? You are, and you're essentially paying a company so that an algorithm in all probability designed by some bearded dudes wearing glasses, which has no actual consciousness or personality, "talks" down to you and "caters" to your fetishes...
See, I can also make the chatbots scenario look quite sad by pointing out the material reality of the situation and using unglamorising language, but both of these (chatbots or service dommes) are valid ways to have fun and get your kink fix as long as you know what you are doing. (I just consider doing it with an actual woman more rewarding, realistic and higher quality, but tbf I never tried the paid chatbots - who knows how good they got these days?

)
Finally, when did I say in the post you quoted that she's my "friend"? I didn't - I said I like and respect her, (which is different from being one's friend) not the other way around, although in a relationship with an actual human you can of course stand out and even if you are not "friends" make the domme like interactions with you more than with other customers/subs. And you can still have a connection with her - we have somewhat similar tastes in music, she asked me multiple personal questions she didn't have to even outside the roleplays etc It's more like meeting someone compatible on fetlife and getting to know them a bit than just paying a sex worker for a one off... (as this is long term)
