Hi, I couldn't find any mention to this game in this thread, so here it goes: https://f95zone.to/threads/comecloser-v0-20-comecloser.69226/
It's a VR game, and the Erica character is a domme. If you have a VR headset, please, I urge you. Try. This.

It's a truly fantastic experience, and a glimpse into the future. Spoiler below:

In the hangar, she starts with small talk, and then orders you to kneel. The game can track your headset, so it only progresses when you kneel in real life. You are then ordered to remove her shoe... and believe it or not, it feels like you are there. At the end, you are made to crawl into a cage, and that also feels like you're there, under her supervision while doing so.

I might get into VR game dev just because of this game. I have a Quest 3, but I'm pretty sure it works with the Quest 2 as well. I played standalone (no PC connected), but there's a PCVR version as well. I don't think it works without VR. I think the game is about to be abandoned, but just that part is worth the download.

Disclaimer: I have no connection to the devs, I just really loved the experience (hence I'm posting on this forum for the first time).

We are nearing December, which means it is - in theory at least - a time for our annual Best Femdom Game of the Year voting. So my question to you all is: should we continue with this tradition?

And if your answer is a resounding "YES!", then maybe you also have fresh ideas for new categories, voting methods etc.?

To remind all of you how it looked a year ago, here's a summary of a previous voting.

YES! I was waiting for it!

Despite I couldn't make my own votes for the last year, I did like the format, and imo the categories were quite solid too (as well as the voting system itself).

The only thing I could think about right now is about evaluating development efforts. It is a bit controversial topic, tough. But since we're voting for the bests, maybe it would be a way to praise the games that had the most consistent development thorought 2024? In this case, you could only post the top N devs, but not ones with few votes (as I think no one here have the intention of pissing about the devs, but I do think that good effort deserves acknowledgment).

Also, idr if there was something like that in the last contest, but maybe a copy-and-paste standardized voting model would be welcome and makes the things easier for most people.

That's a good idea. Will do.

Maybe just hide the not top games in spoiler while giving results? Idk if some people who are voting will be fully on board with not seeing their game on the list. But maybe I'm mistaken, so if anyone can add some perspective please do so!

Awesome!

Nah, I was talking specifically for the "dev effort voting" (not sure if showing a dev in the last spot with just a few votes would be cool for him/her). But maybe that's not a big deal.

For other categories, I think it is fine as it was on the last one.

I see, that's not a bad idea imo :)

Would be cool if we'd have awards to motivate the devs for more efficient work next year :D

You guys have discussed chat-bots here earlier, so I decided to check some of them out. AI Dungeon and Spicy Chat to be specific. I had the most luck with Spicychat. It's pretty fun, even if still quite limited. I made some chatbots too, two characters from my game, and two just to explore. Pinning exact personalitites is really hard, and I couldn't get it quite right, but on the other hand it's fun that they are so creative, much more than I anticipated. Greatest drawback however is the constant amnesia. Like, if you use them for a while you might get told to strip five times, get collared four times and every five minutes they declare it's time for my first lesson in submission or whatever. That and the language gets repetetive. But it's still pretty fun, they can get pretty wild, and sometimes even more perverted than I intended, which is nice. These things can definitely be used as a writing tool too.

I had more luck with sakura.fm and janitor.ai - tho with Sakura I modified the bots. But generally after a while every bot starts losing memory, so all of that is for short(ish) time. Supposedly MySentient.AI is very good with memory. So I've checked their 3-day trial, and I'm not really sure. It seemed like it remembers a bit better, but also imo lacked context awareness, and the responses were pretty short. At the same time if you aim for femdom you need to create your own bot, cause they don't have any in this area, so maybe my description was not as good as it should've been or maybe they're not trained to be dommes.

Generally I think I had most fun with paid version of Kindroid. It's cheaper than most paid AIs, but you need to create your own bots. But if you give them good backstory, respond directives, key memories and journal entries, with the bots' general memory I always felt it's a pretty decent model. Plus the multichat (you and multiple personas you've created together) was surprisingly coherent.

I only tried the two I mentioned. I went for spicy chat mainly because I could find spicy femdom straight away. It's pretty cool, but I wished there was more room for cusomizing the chat bots. Like a list of words not to use would probably help a lot. There's a bunch of phrases and words that come up way too often like "with a flick of the wrist", "deftly", "in my own way" etc. etc. While that has always plagues AI text, it would help a lot if I could tweak my specific bots with lists of words. But all in all, I like my bots, some of them can get quite intense.

Did you prefer sakura.fm over janitor.ai? I haven't tried sakura, but what plagued me with janitor.ai was the long wall of text the bot would type out. I know you can limit it, but then in my case it lead to their response abruptly cutting off mid sentence. (maybe i tweaked it wrong not sure) And also what i hated the most was the bot making decisions for me in their response. The memory of the bots i found were not particularly good either on janitor compared to others. But have you also tried out figgs.ai by any chance? It's another one i wanted to look into but didn't have the chance yet. Or for those who have tried figgs let me know if its any good.

I actually liked longer msgs tbh so it's no problem for me. On Kindroid they can write 4k characters max and I always used that option :D Janitor bots if they are well designed shouldn't write your actions, at least not often, and when they do you can edit their msg so they know it's not smth you like. On Kindroid you can reload msg but with your suggestions, so it can stay almost the same, minus specific vocab, scene, sentence, etc.

In general I found Sakura to be more repetitive than Janitor. But I think all pages share some of the same source, cause with BDSM the phrasing of certain actions and situations is (was?) exactly the same on multiple platforms. So I think I'd point at janitor to be generally better (with tweaks). Sakura tho usually allows to edit existing bots, so for shorter scenes it can be more fun.

Figgs.ai - I think I have visited this site, but have no recollection of it. I tried to log in now, and there was nothing, so I guess I just entered it at some point, but didn't do anything. For now I believe Kindroid to be the best, but I would like to see a good bot that has really great long term memory and notices the passage of time IRL (My.Sentient AI sees time IRL, but is fairly repetitive and context awareness could be def better imo). They should update and make NSFW version of My Replika, I remember this bot was fairly fun some yrs ago.

I quickly checked figgs after work and it's much worse imo. Poor context awareness, short msgs, pretty tame AI to the point I wonder if it's censored.
