Are you playing the latest version? 1.04? I've already repeatedly lowered the difficulty based on feedback every update.
I'm aware my standards for difficulty is a bit different so I'm looking for more feedback (I compete at EVO every year so these kinda games are too easy for me and I need feedback to tune)

You can now also just lose in Act 14 and gain 50 essence regardless

Also what platform and control are you playing on? I wonder if it makes a difference.

Okay that explains why the bar is set kinda high fighting gamers are something else^^
Im playing Version 1.04 on PC capped to 60FPS with original PS5 Controller.
But clearing the last Level took me over an hour and all stats except Atlas Strike Energy and Running (running upgraded to 1 seems already pretty strong) skilled to 6. I get grinding makes the unlockable Scenes more desirable because they are harder to get but often its also annoying especially this early in game.
Or maybe Im just an absolute noob but really did struggle and lost often till the Stats were high enough.
Nevertheless scenes and art are 10/10

Can't lie i love the difficulty level, instead of lowering it, I'd love having the option for others to lower it to play to their preference instead. The feeling of beating that stupid ass brown owl beast looking mfer after parrying every hit when I finally got it was better than bussing a nut.

I know people can be skeptical cause i never finished games before, but this one...
1. actually completed all assets, it's just putting it together and polish at this point
2. I have 12k Wishlists on steam...financially it would be really stupid to not finish and release.

Yes, indeed there WILL be a difficulty setting later.

However, I purposely did not put in the difficulty choice at first because it helps get people's feedback on the tuning. If everyone just pushed it to easy and skipped the content, I wouldnt be able to figure out what's wrong with the combat design.

I never expected people spend 1 hour on a fight though, so thats a problem

I'll be adding in difficulty like next week or something

That's more of an outlier imo, i did that fight in about 3-5 minutes? On version 1.0
