I mean... with the incest idea, it's sort of a NIMBY situation. I don't think a person who likes incest porn necessarily wants to have incestuous sex. Actually, it goes the other way, too. Imagine a person who really wants to fuck a relative--they're probably going to want to fuck a particular relative, not just any old relative of theirs. Further, they aren't necessarily interested in other people engaging incestuous relationships. I get the feeling it's an easy thing for the average person to conflate: if you like incest in your porn, then you must necessarily want to have incestuous sex.

To kinda put that another way, there is probably, I think, a common belief that every person who likes incest as a porn topic must want to fuck a particular or hypothetical relative, whether they are aware of it or not. I don't think that's necessarily the case.

(I mean, there's incest roleplay, I guess, which isn't quite the same thing. It also kinda complicates my argument so I'm going to ignore it.)

NTR actually has some of the same elements. In order to experience NTR in real life (barring roleplay, again) a certain kind of interpersonal relationship is necessary. Incest is similar in that it's necessary (but not sufficient) to actually have a relative in order to have incestuous sex. That being the case kinda complicates things. What if you really enjoy the abstract idea of personally having incestuous sex, but aren't actually attracted to any of your actual relatives? What if you think one of your relatives is incredibly attractive, but the idea of actually fucking a relative completely kills your sexual interest in them?

I think it's also a question of immersion. Not all players immerse themselves to an equal degree in porn, be it games or other media. Some need a character to relate to, while others don't relate to characters in porn at all. Some name the MC after themselves, others would never think of that. Personally, I'm among the least immersive players.

Aside from that, I think, incest is somewhat a special case, as even IRL there is huge difference between fantasizing about and actually practicing incest. A boy jerking off imagining his mother is rather common, while someone fucking his mother is not.

NTR might also be interesting to players who enjoy a high level of drama, even if they don't relate to any of the characters. On the other hand, hardly any sane human being fantasizes about being cheated, let alone let it happen IRL.

Everyone has a dark side. Video games allow us to give in to the dark side without any consequences. Doesn't mean I would actually do it in real life. I enjoy playing the villain in video games as well but I would never become someone like that in real life. I think of video games kind of like dreams, except unlike dreams I'm mostly in control.

It really depends on the fetish.
I don't fantasize having incestuous sex even though I like incest games, for example. The thing is, the idea of seducing, corrupting and pursuing the forbidden is what makes me excited. And a lot of those things are present in those games.

The point of a fantasy is to be one! If you realize a fantasy generally it becomes something else. So generally it's better for your erotic motor to fantasize but not act on those. Speaking only NTR and incest is way to reductive for me.

The point of the thread was to imagine your personal favorite fetish. It is not limited to incest and/or NTR, those are only examples. But the fetish should be something that can be considered dangerous or socially undesirable, and not something "simple" like anal sex, big boobs and other "mild" fetishes.
