Yes, it's easy as fuck with the correct build - just like every Umai Neko game.
I usually just spam "X" + left of right spin attacks to move to the far edge of the map to spawn enemies, then do "X" + "up" do do drill and counter attacks (when send to the ground). Once special attack gauge is filled, use it and you'll likely kill enough enemies with it to fill it again.
You need MP and MP recovery to pull this off which means you have to do glass-cannon build.
This works on all difficulties but on everything higher than normal you need more levels, equipment and the margin of error is much smaller. But it's enough to progress stages without repeating them even once if you use gold to buy experience.
Guess i was trying the wrong build but still im confused with the "spin attack" part as i still got hit by the crawling bastards sometimes as the hit box for that attack sometimes goes over their head and you just land on them auto knocking you down and as soon as you are down you will INSTANTLY be grabbed if any enemies are close (including the one that knocked you down if the knockback was far enough) and their grab damage is absurdly high (even on lowest difficulty) and burns through your mana and some of your health before you even have the time to break free.
Again, maybe with a specific build its doable but the game surely needs a balance pass to fix the most glaring and punishing issues.

Impressive how this company managed to make one fully functional game and then just deconstruct it more and more with every new game into what it is today

There is a way to see the other enemies in the Ex. Gallery? I cant figure out how to see the animations for more than the first two.

You spam "X" + "up" constantly for drill attacks and counters. The moment you hit the ground you do counter so you don't get grabbed. If they still manage to grab you (there's small window enemies can still grab you if there's a lot of them), you should have level 3-5 avoidance passive so you escape in a few button presses.

UMAI NEKO does the same shit over and over again since I dunno 10 or 15 years already? this one art looks even worse than some previous games, probably he tried to implement some AI here and there.

You cant even view the other enemies h-scenes in the exgallery (or i suck at finding it), and they likely used AI to cut even more corners which made it shittier, its a shame cus the scenes are hot but the gameplay and coding is pretty ass even compared to umai nekos previous titles. :(

given the new game over animations look smoother to me than the previous ones, that's an upgrade if AI was used.

But honestly, I don't get what some people expect given they've made the same sort of gameplay over and over with some additions between each one. At this point you're playing for the scenes.

gameplay wasn't that much of an upgrade since the 3rd one in the series (the 2nd sakura game). all you get this time is an extra upgrade system for your stats, which never was needed cause the enemies are still piss easy to beat.

Also, at least you can make the scene gathering a little easier with the y, u, i, and some other keys to manipulate HP and knockdowns. This has also been a thing in many previous games too. and until the official release, everything is uncensored anyway. it only gets censored due to JP laws.

this isn't really defending Umai Neko since it feels like shovelware on top of decent art regardless, but expecting something new or even challenging is also pointless by now so... can take it or leave it i guess
