Since it seems the moderators of this website choose to actively go against us or other game developers time and time again, we have lost all interest in this website and are leaving for good.

Any download links you find here from now on are outside of our responsibility, so if it's an unauthorised early access version like this one, don't complain to us about the bugs that you will certainly get, because the purpose of public releases that some couldn't wait for was to polish the game for you, but this thread is no longer ours and has become an unofficial way to play the game (that includes any kind of communication or messaging that you may want to do). So, this is our final message in this website and in the future you can only contact us elsewhere.

If you want to follow our dev team or contct us from now on you can do so in , and (paying optional) The public release will be officially acessible from there next friday, we hope you have been enjoying the game until now.
Bye, next time invest into common sense. ;)

Why do so many developers have issues reading into the aura of this site, to realize that this is a piracy forum just to bitch about us leaking versions...?

Just to be clear, nothing against developers, appreciate them when they are helpful to us...
But why are some of them so delulu in thinking that they are going to be an exception...
I do understand wanting to protect your source of income, but honestly, coming to F95 is a calculated move in the first place. It is really just an individual decision in the end of the day. Do I promote my game here and am somewhat okay with possible leaks but gain more supporters down the line or people who buy my game release date, or do I ignore the site and if my game is decent it will probably get leaked here anyway, although obviously you can request to have the links removed.

But I think the issue is in how you express that. I know for example that people over on the Hentaria Chronicles thread refused to leak stuff multiple times in the past before the version was public, because the dev in there did very nicely ask to please not do it an explained that they noticed a revenue drop whenever an Early Access version was leaked early in the month. So it's not like people don't listen to this stuff and have empathy with developers. I understand this is maybe your main source of income, so it's natural to want to avoid leaks.

However, h-games like these are in Early Access many years. You can't prevent the occasional leak. The patreon-model of h-game development often has long wait-times for new versions and very long production cycles, and sometimes games dont even get finished. Its natural that sometimes people get impatient, or one of your patreon supporters gets disgruntled because of some subjectively perceived thing you did or didn't do in development and leak it. But Im going to say this as well: for your game to be leaked it has to be supported first. The more people support you, the more chances of a leak. You won't stop a leak, even if you stop it being linked here on F95. There are dozens of sites that continously leak patreon h-game content specifically.

TLDR is: I understand it's frustrating, but to a lot of people here you probably just come across as another dev throwing a tantrum.

I wonder what would this mean moving forward for them. Can only imagine they'll be less motivated to continue but we'll see.

I take it they got used to followers and f95 being patient and not leaking in the past. Got blindsided by this one and forgot it's a pirate site after all.

It is what it is lol

How many meaningful branching paths are there? Entering the city seems to indicate that either way you lock yourself out of certain content depending on guard vs slave vs other, and then whether or not you accrue corruption I assume makes a difference too. Does it make a difference in the types of content you see (vanilla vs degradation, etc)?
Does anyone have any info on the different routes? I think this got lost in the shuffle of the dev drama

You won't stop a leak, even if you stop it being linked here on F95. There are dozens of sites that continously leak patreon h-game content specifically.
Not to mention how a lot of other sites are way shady and probably add malware or viruses to the downloads or simply obfuscate the real download button to make sure you get some garbage instead. At least F95 is doing their best fighting against viruses and it's working out real well. So the way I see it the dev actually promotes someone catching something bad, either on purpose or not.

Hi I'm one of the devs here, I wasn't going to do this, but we got questions, it's clear barely anyone understood what has happened, so this is for people who are genuinely asking. (This isn't us coming back, we gave up the thread.)

-"Why did you think you wouldn't be pirated in a pirating site, are you stupid?"
2 things. One, The full story is we were recommended this site as a game sharing site, and we did see positive reactions for a long time from people who respected the dates we gave for our releases, but that has changed over time.

Two, I don't know if you noticed but the game is free? There hasn't been a piracy for us to be mad about, what there has been is an unfinished version was put here by someone who reported it as a release, and that is simply false. Version 0.4.3B doesn't exist. Version 0.4.3 (EaslyAccessB) exists as something that was meant to be tried by people who know it's unfinished.

Yes the Early Access is obtained by subscribing, but that's because we considered a privilege to see the development process BUT it isn't exclusive paid content because it WILL release for everyone properly in the date we said. And the unfinished version getting out is something we don't want people unknowingly playing and complaining that the game itself is buggy, but (not all) users and moderators alike have proven us that they don't care and we don't want to be responsible.

Finally, to anyone worried about how this affects the development of the game, it doesn't. We have received a lot support in the last few days, financially too. So we are fine and motivated, and not "butthurt" like some people decided in their heads.
It's just that this is clearly not a website where developers are welcome, so it's ok, we just won't use it and everyone's happy as long you understand future links here aren't put here by us as actual releases, that's not on us.

PS. I never meant to sound like we're unhappy at all users as if they were all the same. In fact the negative interactions came almost entirely from moderators, who I'm also not going to treat as if they were all the same, but is a stronger reason for leaving. And I kindly suggest you stop putting words in our mouths.

If you release a new beta version and one of your Patreon supporters leaks it here, it's going to be linked to in the main post. Even if it's a broken and buggy mess, moderation doesn't usually care and always updates to the latest version wherever it is made available to them. It's just how it works around here, for better and for worse (and it is indeed for the worse when it results in unplayable beta builds being the only thing available while stable builds are removed). You're certainly entitled to stop interacting with the community over it, but your issue should really be more with the user(s) leaking your beta builds than anyone else.

Hi I'm one of the devs here, I wasn't going to do this, but I thought it would be fair to clarify some things to the people who care because it's clear barely anyone understood what has happened.

First this isn't us coming back, we gave up the thread.

-"Why did you think you wouldn't be pirated in a pirating site, are you stupid?"

I hope this answers some questions, mainly for the people who genuinely asked, and hope this is actually the last comment I make.
Devs are by all means welcome around, if they know how the site operates. Your game isn't even the only free game around that gets pirated anyway. So how you go about handling that is what matters. And frankly, you failed.
You speak as if what happened was to spite you, while it all was just following the rules. Newer version gets provided, thread is updated. It's not like nobody respects the unwritten agreements with devs of free games, it takes just one person that doesn't, and the mechanisms of the site are set to do what they do. It's fair to be upset, but you can't undo it. So the way you want about it turning yourself into a victim ended up looking like a tantrum. Simplest way to handle a situation like this is just saying, the shared version is not meant to be public and criticism of it isn't valid.
I'm among people who wait for public releases for games like this even if it gets shared earlier. I generally side with devs on matters, as long as they handle things properly. But you acted as if the whole site and community betrayed you alongside the moderators with intent hostility, while all that happened was a single person leaked the build and moderators acted according to procedure. I think the situation can be still salvaged, it's a product of misunderstanding after all. Just a matter of acknowledging how things really work, reevaluating your response to the situation. But you're also free to leave the site. I'd say maintaining a positive presence would be much better for the perception of you and the game, but the choice is yours, and if you believe further interaction will lead to negativity, it is valid.

I mean that is fair
I can see that it can be annoying if the "current" version linked in the first post here is a buggy mess just because someone leaked the alpha/beta version that wasn't meant to be a release.

more stuff
There is no way they could control leaks, as a pirate site this is even more clear.
But is not the first game here that gets "updated" and someone in the comments has to provide a previous version because latest leaked is not ready to be used, even more if is a game that uses mods.

It would be ideal for a game that is already free that the devs themselves provide the latest stable links. Not that I imagine they would have any desire to continue to do so after what happened.
