For a start, not everyone is packing high end hardware, not everyone is massively skilled in the field of 3d art, not everyone is a perfectionist. Not everyone is willing to go back and re render their whole game because they're better than when they started.

Not to mention, art is subjective. It's like asking why only have 2d cartoons, when we have 3d now? Why have cel-shaded CG, when we have life like CG. For all we know the author of this work loves this art style.

The MC looks like a fag but the girls look fine. I would have to place a paper bag or a big black dot over the males head if I were to play this game.

definitely have to actually read this..the dev has gone to great lengths to craft a classic style detective novel with all the flourish and detail in the descriptive narrative you find in novels...also..those older(even if they look young) darker skinned dames are sexy AF...lol
oh ya..and i love it..this is my sort of thing...give me some good reading.
