As far as I know he does everything himself!
I'll go ahead and ask him myself eventually I guess. In the meantime, here are some other things I notice during the playthrough.

There's also a lot of points where I find the light source to be very odd in the background, which is rather weird since I doubt someone who's evidently skilled would make that kind of error.

But this is still not indicative of anything, these could absolutely be honest mistakes, or he could've done that on the first one because it was difficult to draw a circular table with a perspective ruler on that angle, but it is suspicious when compounded with other things.

These don't, has never, and will never work reliably. I wouldn't consider them to be the basis for anything. Your MkI Eyeballs will always be the best tool at your disposal when it comes to things like this.
one cannot use AI slop to detect AI slop. and guess what AI detectors are? AI slop! :ROFLMAO:

Heya everyone, for the AI stuff, I just decided to screenshare (Let's go Bandicam) how I'd ink and sketch something out and you can see for yourself from there. Unfortunately, the free version of Bandicam only allows me to go up to 10mins, so it got cut out but hopefully this should show the drawing part of my process. YouToob won't let me upload coz Evelyn's being a hoe again and Streamable has a 10 minute limit, so I'll just use Google Drive:

Inky ink:
Sketchy sketch:

For the other lore details if you're interested: I'm a Pen and Ink artist, so I specialize in mainly just using a pen and primarily lines to render out all of my drawings (For the most part), which is why my line precision/control is decent since it's what I work with.

Common issues found in the CG:
(1) Line fragments
- Mainly because I go through most lines again to erase/reapply ink so they look dynamic and nice, there are a lot of times things I erase doesn't get fully erased. In a single illustration where the deadline isn't tight, I do put most of my time to clean it up and make sure it's (mostly) clean. However, due to the nature of the CG's requiring multiple images in a single scene, it's unfortunate that at my current skill level and speed output, it'd take forever to make sure everything stays super clean, so I just make sure it's mainly refined in the important areas. Even then, there'd still be fragments I'd miss out since there's a lot to juggle and I just tunnel vision.

(2) Background Element Inconsistencies
- This is just a mistake on my part for being an amateur when it comes to BG's. As you can see, I mainly draw people. However, in the game, it'd be weird to just let them be standing in pure white background, so we had to put something. I'm not good with drawing BG's but I do know the fundamentals of perspective to make it not look warped at least. I gave some samples to Megy and he was fine with it (Since the alternative was no BG's at all or hire a BG artist which is super expensive), so we settled with me just doing it. Since I'm a learning artist, it's also a great opportunity for me to learn. You can see the progress of my art from the beginning to the end as the game progresses (v0.2 will show this better with the improved quality in CGs!). The CGs have been made within the course of almost 1.5 years (or so) timespan. Initially, I thought it was just a 3-5 illustration deal but as time went on, me and Megy worked more and more. Unfortunately, this meant that I never made an actual character sheet/background layout preplanned out, so some inconsistencies are there.

(3) Changing Light source/Color Rendering
- As mentioned above, I just suck at BG's. I do know and have a solid understanding on the fundamentals in theory at least, so that's why it doesn't turn out to be complete garbage. However, theory can only take you so far and so, I have to actually get in there and start drawing the thing. As mentioned before, the CG's from the start to now has an almost 2 years (Wow!) timespan since me and Megy worked, so there's bound to be changes as I'm also studying in my breaks to make sure I continuously improve and get better.

For the most part, the mistakes are made simply because I'm not as good as the other pros and my work gets sloppy sometimes as we'd like to hit deadlines so updates don't take forever whilst maintaining decent quality that doesn't ruin the immersion of your gameplay. It's not an excuse nor is it a good thing, so I am working myself to become a better artist everyday since the better I get, the faster I can work, which in turn will ultimately allow me to draw more for the game at a higher quality and more consistency. Hopefully (and ironically enough), the mistakes I've made here and have explained is what makes this human haha.

I think these are the main points needed to be addressed. Of course, feel free to ask me anything. I love talking about art and doing them. You can also scour through my socials and check out my other drawings if need be for you lads to check (There's a lot of them). I'll continue to do better as an artist, thanks for your patience and understanding!

Again, thank you all again for your support and engagement with the game. I don't take any offense to this (Which is why I never really said anything when it got brought up) but I don't want to be the cause of pulling down the reputation/image of this wonderful game, so I decided to type this lengthy essay to give some deets. I'm glad to see that people are at least interested enough to discuss about it, so hopefully this clears stuff up! Here's some porn studies and Alpha Chad Parker I doodled last night for the wall of texts:

With this post, let's also stop arguing whether the art is AI. Off-topic talk in the game's thread can get the thread locked, and then we won't be able to discuss this game if it happens.

As Pencilnote said, he'll look to improve for better quality and consistency in their art, and we'll see that improvement with each new update. Pencil is diligent, as shown by the doodles they've provided. Thanks for the explanation, and excited to see what y'all have cooked up for future updates, in terms of art and writing. Keep up the good work Pencil and Mezy!

Oh, I'm around! I just lurked for the first few hours, reading all of the comments and not replaying :D

The plan is to let the player experience both the romance and the NTR route in the early game, so indecisive players can pick whichever suits their fancy. After the SECOND expedition starts (not the one coming in the next update, but the one after that), the romance route will be inaccessible if you have too many NTR points. So even if you gather enough supplies, Nora will start refusing sex with you.

Yes, I am leaning towards one route - the NTR one. It'll get a little bit more scenes each update. Romance fans don't need to worry though, there'll be plenty of chicks who want to smash them, including a new one, which I already have the character models for- she'll show up a little later! ;) They'll have their own routes/dates/scenes.

About Evelyn and Parker - Yes, you're either her sub, or her dom. Or at least, will become one after a while. Telling Parker about her infidelity won't have any consequences for a while (if you took Evelyn's deal), but she will find out eventually that you were the one to tell him. Parker will also fundamentally change depending on what you told him.

About Julia - she's not the scientist's spouse, she's the wife of the shopkeeper, Rowan! And yes, she'll have romance events and "you watch as she fucks" events, lol.

I think I can handle it. The SUP was a lot bigger in terms of routes, so I'm pretty confident I can make everything coherent enough, it'll just take time. I plan to add 8-16 scenes per update, depending on how well the Patreon does, so in two or three updates I can properly update every single route. + The non Nora routes will be shorter and will have maybe 50% of the scenes Nora will have, too.
Julia is a great character. I hope there'll be more of her scenes in upcoming updates

I think peoples that call this made by generative AI are just awestruck because it's the first actual game made by humans since forever, and somehow they forgot that there are talented individuals in this industry, that talented peoples even exist!

I don't blame them for being skeptical, if anything I find it sad, to me it's symptomatic of the lack of moderation of AI generated content by the F95 team, especially the fraudulent devs that DO use AI while pretending not to, and get away with it.

So on both hands we have peoples with no artistic background, on one, a paranoid hunt like the Spanish inquisition calling everything AI until they "are proven innocent", and the F95 mods on the other, that simply just don't care and/or can't tell the difference between Human made and Generative AI.

and to Pencilnote: I know it suck to be taken for a scam, and you have my sympathy, keep up the great work friend, you're doing amazing ❤.

Those doodles alone make me hungry for more, the girls in this game are just  As for the AI discussion, let me just add that personally, I wouldn't mind it too much if some generic backgrounds were made with AI assistance and don't necessarily see it as a slippery slope. As long as the characters are hand-drawn with a distinctive style like this with perhaps more time for Pencilnote to invest in that part, I view it as a legitimate and perhaps even sensible use of the technical possibilities available today, as long as the creators are upfront about it.

Let's be honest we've been fed by slop for so long that a decent meal, no matter how small feels so surreal to us in this case we have a brand new hidden NTRRPGM (which is oversaturated in this platform) and has an art that looks too GOOD to be true. Of course the immediate response for many of the players would be if this was done using AI.

For so long we have been disappointed by numerous garbage littering this platform and even other sites such as Ryuugames have been infested with AI-generated works. We don't want a game that is literally brimming with potential to be wasted and then be abandoned for the years to come.

I was also initially skeptical at first with the art style but I immediately noticed this little bits of imperfections that makes the art feel alive and unique, something that AI cannot replicate easily. And yes, I've also seen some artist's illustration style being copied and used by AI such as the one like ratatatat74 (you can search up rule 34 for this) however Pencilnote's style is TOO distinct for it to be AI-generated.

Anyways I'm looking forward to the success of this game and the upcoming updates that you will be absolutely cooking for this game. Art looks fleshy and grounded, wishing both MegyMonster and Pencilnote a joyous holiday~.
