Really sad. With hot renders, and a pretty decent story development, this game was going along great. This is what I've said over and over. I know these guys are amateurs, part-timers trying to grow, yada-yada, but it is just so frustrating as a player to get yourself interested in a story, all curious to find out how this could turn out, and then fffft! I hate that! Only validates my point about the "double edged sword" value of a platform like Patreon. Amazingly wonderful concept, to provide a world wide window to support new up and coming young artists; Not such a wonderful reality, when in this genre it seems to foster more of this type of performance than that of those actually put their nose to it and try to create something tangible and complete. Seems to me that will in the long run only serve to hinder those artists on that platform with a legitimate passion for the development of their craft.
For Pete's sake, write shorter stories, create shorter games. Don't lock into one story, finish one quick and then go to another, or what ever. A game doesn't have to have 30 chapters to be good, either, if that's the barrier. I have really enjoyed games that have been extremely well done, that wrapped in one or two updates. Quit biting off more than you can chew, if that's the bloody problem. There much be 1000 really good starts hanging out there that will never be finished, and that just seems ridiculous to me. JMPOV.

So the dev is a scumbag then. I was thinking about being a patron back then, but this is the perfect example of why I wait to see if the dev is reliable and consistent with updates before I become one.
Note: he left without warning and still has 50+ patrons. He is doing it on purpose. The good ones that have to leave tell you why before closing their Patreon. Good job whoever put the Abandoned tag because rightfully so.
Real Shame. I really was looking forward to where this would end up. Especially with the possibility of knocking up all the women in this game.
I believe titles should be earned. I'm sure I'll get a lot of grief for saying this but I believe it so here goes.... I think that it's inappropriate for someone to be allowed to call themselves a "game developer" and be fully accepted as such, when in fact, though they have the tools and skills they haven't actually earned that title. Tidbits and incomplete projects don't count. What have you developed? Give me a title, let me go play it start to finish. Don't tell me all the in depth bullshit you've done for other developers either, because sorry, that makes you their apprentice, a production assistant, nothing more. When I developed films, I called myself a filmmaker. If you would tell someone you were a filmmaker, the first question you would get is, what have you made. If I gave them a list of shit that was albeit competently created but none of it finished, I'd get laughed at. Apprenticed game developer, aspiring game developer, developer in training, developer wannabe, whatever. If you haven't really done it, then sorry pal, you ain't it yet.

So apparently after next update we're at about 60 percent of the game. Considering he said that next update is gonna be longer than the others to follow, I'd even say 65 percent.
I don't know about you guys but I ddon't see the game concluding without it being done just to be done with it.
