If only there were a guide out there to help people get all of these cool items and achievements...if only there were a document wholly dedicated to helping future players 100% the game...man, what a neat thing that would be, huh?
This is a C++ issue. Technically you can just find the files on the internet and put them in there, but to make sure you never have to do this again, it's easiest to just find the C++ redistributables in your installed apps and uninstall them, then reinstall them. If you look up C++ in this thread, (or in the Princess Reconquista thread, I think I posted it there too), you should find a post that goes over at least one of the methods you can do for this and all the steps.
Whoever told you that is either a liar, misunderstood, or are misunderstanding something. The new version will most likely have all the old monsters, but it hasn't gotten far enough in development for that yet.
