Got the big 100% and finished my capture list too wew! No bees are not cappable.

Does anyone know what's the best place to get the newest demos? I see that they often post the demos on theor fanbox, but it's in 2 parts, and I haven't tried, nor do I know how one would merge the two (if they even need merging). Or would using the newest links in this thread be a better choice?

Note how both posts refer the word “We“.

Now you may ask, isn't it possible that it's a mistake of the MTL, sure it is possible, but this is a change that only started somewhere around the year of 2023, any posts before the first one referring a “We“ only mention an “I“.

But maybe it truly is a conspiracy to make us never truly know the truth.

The "we" in both posts are referring to work on Shiratane Tower which is being worked on by Zell and Ansala, Ansala does the coding and programming as he did in SA too and Zell the animations.
FOBS is Zell's baby, he works on that alone as far as I'm aware. I could be wrong but I know coding isn't Zell's forte even if there is two people, I pretty sure that still stands as he usually works with Ansala for that side of things.

I think there isnt one uploaded yet for the version of the new game ,i been checking myself. They are stored as usual in %appdata%/Local/GameNameDirectory

No, Ansala works on Shiro no Yakata, that was made by Zell alone before Ansala joined, because of some disagreements about some aspects of the game Zell made a new horror game, Shiratane Tower, this can be confirmed by checking both official pages for each dev and notice that we are indeed speaking of 2 different games.

And in case you need a “We“ referring specifically to FOBS, the last post from February was 3 of them.

I just want to let you know that I'm not saying that I'm right and you wrong, it's just that I find some changes from the time Zell worked in the original FOBS and the horror games from the new FOBS Remake a little strange.

It's possible that it may be a mistake from the Machine translator, Japanese is complicated and many works don't have a literal translation and need to be replaced with something similar, but I don't know if that is the case here.

During the development of Shiratane Tower each new update only gave us 2 or 3 girls and a respective door and room for each of them. No new gameplay, no new areas, no story, no new mechanics and items (with exceptions).

But then the Remake of FOBS “started“ and with it we not only got the usual 2 or 3 more girls but we would also get proper gameplay, new areas, items, mechanic, QoL features and more. Idk, maybe it's only me but that transition it's a little too sudden to not consider that “We“ really means someone else helping the “original“ Zell. But there could be other reasons or I'm just overthinking.

You might need to redownload stuff for C++, but if this hasn't happened at all for previous version, you may just need to reinstall the file like it says if you haven't tried already.

All of this is just silly. You are definitely overthinking it.
Even if FOBS is getting halp from a number two or more, Zell is still Zell. hes just one guy xD When he uses his blogposts or w/e, its him, not his number two or three or whatever P:

ah might be because of my recent factory reset then. I'm not really into stuff like that. So what do I exactly need to download for C++?

I did a little more testing, and I am now so, SO mad at myself. Changing the language to Japanese through the Game Maker Engine then changing the in-game language to English makes everything make SO much more sense. Game Maker did not do the work that Zell put into this justice whatsoever.

For some reason mine was default set to english. no idea why. Now i know what things do!

It's set to that by default for everyone, and everyone here has been lost as a result. But thanks to the trooper that got curious, the game actually makes SENSE.

-and I have to go into the settings, tab key, to change it to English.
Now that there is progression the save system makes sense and works so that I no longer have to do this.
I don't even have to use the engine menu at all for changing language!
So either there is a misconception here, people messed up something by using both menus or for some it is just fucked from the get go.
Ok so for everyone now so that it works; you got to change the engines language to (Chinese? Japanese?) and the in-game menu, tab key, to English and everything should work.

It's Japanese you have to switch it to, I'm not sure if it works in Chinese too. But yes, all those steps are correct. You do still have to change the language in-game to English, but the engine itself started in English for a lot of people for whatever reason.
