It was a bug in my save, not incompetence in my sprint. Not sure how it got triggered.

There's a new update for the game now.
From what i can tell there's two versions. 17 and one called (and this is with google translate) "Bull forest". I think he had to split it up because of issues with the new monsters but here are the English passwords:

There is Blueskin Forest A and Blueskin Forest B. Version A is all content up to now, with a few minor bug fixes. Version B has the new stuff.
Due to limitations on the program he uses, Zell had to split the game into pieces. he couldn't add anymore content without overloading it, so he would otherwise have to remove other things. He has considered changing programs, but that would require a long time without updates, so he plans to work on that in the background.
Edit: Also, The two versions can share a save file I believe, and version B has a save file with all skills collected.

Wrong. Myself and 3 others did the translation of our own accord and submitted our work to Zell who was hesitant to accept our work as he could not confirm it to be a good English translation (he speaks very little to no English).
I drew the completed English sprites and also did translation. RadeonX1950/Krongorka was the technician who ripped the sprites from the game and tested my sprites and was basically a Quality Assurance tester for the translation and sprites. Heckerman helped with translation. Raknnkar helped with translation and made the first test sprite images.
You can check the "ReadMe" translation files included with the ENG versions and find our names credited there.

I made a really nice English Title too in the same Font Zell used but he chose to keep the Japanese characters. A little disappointing, but I'm just glad he chose to keep our work in the official builds.

Yeah, Version B. Version A has all the old content, while B has the new stuff of the update. and since someone will probably ask, Zell had to split the game in two, due to program issues. He hit some limit on size, and couldn't add any more stuff unless he deleted other stuff.

Dang, the new update stuff is kinda hard. Not the minotaur lady, but p. much everything in the new mansion. Got one of the puzzles there, but don't know if the pink slime is capturable (Judging by the amount of space... Maybe?)

Does anyone know how to pass the part where you have to hit the gargoyle statues in order to solve a puzzle and capture the one at the end?

In the room outside the gargoyle puzzle, there are some more gargoyles, but one seems a little different from the others (hint hint).

Did you fight the Monkey girl in the forest zone if you're playing on the old version? I haven't encountered that issue in the new version
I actually hadn't, I had plain forgotten about the monkey. When I found guides I skimmed over that part and didn't notice that's where you get the skill.
is there a way to make it run normally so I don't have to have it in 600x800 mode?
