Why people go to internet and writing out things they not sure about. This puzzle is not random, it`s the same every time. And thanks you for spoiler advice.
Sorry, honest mistake. I haven't played the ass puzzle since soon after it was added. I thought I recalled someone saying at the time that it was randomized.

You need to capture them

capture? how? there are NONE to capture. I've went to all screens that I can get to,,,they are all empty with the exception of a tree with a music symbol. when I use the up arrow on it the BGM stops and when I do it again the music restarts. that's it.

You go to the right of where you spawn, not the left. Then go right again

ok,,,cool. it worked. I went right, then up, then over to the teleport next to the 2 arrows. then i kept going up to the top and I found a few enemies. they kicked my ass,,lol
For the first encounters, defeat them until they show a "!" bubble. Also, certain monsters require specific actions before you can capture them, so you outght to read the guide

whats the difference between version A and B
Because of size limitations of the engine the game is made on, the game is made with different version types, the newest type has the newest content (but you have to play the prior version type for abilities, etc.).
You could interpret the version type like episodes or something similar.

Edit: The characters you catch won't transfer onto newer version, just the abilities. There is the exception that the release of version B didn't have that much content yet so he added only some of the prior version's characters there.

Edit2: @Muff Diver Could an explanation be included in the OP to avoid repeated questions?

so technically version A is a finished "episode 1" while version b is a newly started "episode 2"?

The only monster girls common to both games right now are the white rabbit girl, the puppeteer and her puppets and the bench wolf girl, but the only sprite I could spot a difference was in the white rabbit girl one, it is a little bit more detailed in version b where it have nipples whereas it doesnt in version a's one.
