Can someone re-explain what was the involvement of "sakibus diary" and the development of succubus affection? Was he/whoever they are, the other person that irc some people here said insisted for a more maledom approach to the game, and how much was Zell involved?

I could be wrong, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

IIRC Zell did the art for Succubus Affection, and Ansala (I think that's the other person's name) did the programming. Ansala is more into maledom than Zell is, and so pushed for that to be included. Shiro no Yakata is going the same way, I believe, with Ansala coming on board to help Zell out with it. Which is why Zell is making another game along the same lines of what Shiro no Yakata was before Ansala joined up. Don't remember the name of it though.

Zell ended up burning out with FOBS a while back due to needing to actually program it, and not having much fun doing so. He took a break from working on the remaster to focus more on Shiro no Yakata, then came back to FOBS fairly recently. Now he's working on it fairly consistently, along with juggling Shiro no Yakata (with Ansala) and his other game. At least, from what I remember.

I thought it was because the engine he was using was too limiting in the games scope/scale?

So guys, from what I understand about the game development situation, Zell was working with Ansala on Shiro no Yakata. They had a disagreement, and now they split development. Now Zell is working on Shiratane Tower with the help of Ansala (though it's currently on hiatus), while Ansala is creating Succubus Affection 2 based on Shiro no Yakata horror style. Did I get that right?

So now here are my questions:
  1. what's the difference between 1.4 and 1.8 demos of Shiro no Yakata, just different monsters? Can I expect there will be no other versions of this game?
  2. I'm assuming the "GameDemo" Zell is releasing is for Shiratane Tower, which has 1.27 latest version now?
  3. My main question is, how are you supposed to play both games? Do you just go around visiting each room to check monster animations, or is there something else to do? Also, can I expect unique animations when you do different stuff like in FOBS, or is it just 1 death animation that loops?

  1. From what I saw some animations persist while others got removed between versions.
I don't know them by heart so you might have to just play both and see what scene is exclusive to what version.
  2. Yes, 1.27 was the last release of that project so far and right after the next post was FOBS_R.
I noticed one of the features, a doge by falling flat first, was removed or changed keys in any build after 1.23.
  3. They are all all just glorified H-scene galleries without any real game play besides the implementation of some features.
Only FOBS_R is different in the way that it doesn't just show off new things now but also develops along the way of it.
Although it did start out similar to the other demos posted.

No, that's why Ver. A and Ver. B are a thing. Unless we're thinking about two different things, anyways.

I'm pretty sure that, from when Zell started working on the remaster to now, he hasn't changed the engine he's developing it on. There was a "demo" of it released a while back, had just the slimes in it (maybe the forest dweller too? can't remember) and was more of an animation gallery than anything else, but Zell took a break from developing it for a while after getting burnt out. Then he started working on it again fairly recently, which is why these updated builds are coming out now. That's what I remember.

Unless this was mentioned somewhere other then FANBOX I can't find a mention of Zell being burned out from it.

What specs have your pc? I used to have a laptop with a intel core i5 450M and integrated graphics along 4gb of ram, it didn’t run so smoothly many things but this game could do it even today
Got an AMD A9-9425 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G, 3100 MHz, whatever that means, a AMD Radeon(TM) R Graphics, and supposedly 16gb of ram, even tho it lags like I got 2 gb ...
The physical condition of the pc is ... not in it's best shape tho xD

I do run some other games (along with the A and B versions of FOBS for example) normally.

Hey guys, is there a walkthrough for the new version of the game? Haven't played this in years and it's my first time checking out the new one

I can't seem to capture the bunny and cat witch. Is this the same for anyone else? Potential bug here.
The game is still being worked on so if you can't capture them, then a place for them isn't implemented yet.
Only the method for capture is implemented, not the actual capturing.
Zell was not able to work much on the game last month so we got to wait until the end of this month.
