try event viewer

do windows key+r > eventvwr.msc

and look under Applications and Service logs.

see if the program shows up when it crashes.

Also Check under Windows Logs. it may take a while for the system to generate these logs, so switch from another log to it again a few times over like 10 minutes or until it loads.

you will then see a list of all events triggered by applications, including any errors which cause a program to crash. it will give information about the type of error that caused it to crash if you click it.

that's probably the next step to detemine whats wrong.

but if the exe is null (0bs in file size), that means it was definitely wiped in transit. at which point you could try a torrent as that will send the file by groups of bytes and might bypass the government firewall thats looking for an entire file.

I sadly do not have knowledge of a free torrent downloader that I could recommend. and you'll need someone to make the torrent so you can download it from them Peer to Peer.

Did you made the download directly from the webpage, I'm asking because Mega.co have a app (android/windows) that may work if you download it from it (I hope).

i downloaded the files from 2 different websites, 1 from the mega and another one with an older version from kemono, and both did not work at all

Can you tell me more about your problem? are you having an error? if so, what error? is the game just not launching?

Since it went to 2 zip files it can be a bit temperamental, it took me a few tries to get it working. I put both the zips where I want them extracting, unzip the installer to the same file then I think I either unzipped part 2 which has another zip folder within it, I can't remember if I unzipped just the zip folder and went for the install which prompts part 2 or if I opened that 2nd zip too and extracted it's contents before starting the install (I think I tried both.) I'd try extracting the zip of part 2 first, the installer may not be able to access it because it's a zip within a zip.

You just have to "Unzip" the two files contained in my mega link, Normally you should have two files, A Zip file (named GameDemo_v1.25.part2) and an .Exe file (named GameDemo_v1.25.part1), You just have to launch the .Exe file and accept the decompression, and you have the game demo, Of course you must have the two files mentioned before in the same folder, that's all? After that, if you get an error when launching the game, I invite you to refer to Zell23's answer, which you can find in my last Mega link

i think that this is problem only happens to certain country?, because after i downloaded the files, i tried opening part 2 first without extracting it, and even then, some of the resource files namely the animations and js file are empty, i don't think that those files are supposed to be empty, even after succesfully runing the exe installer it still doesn't work, as some files are missing, as joshex said, it could be possible that my country blocked those data, as such i can't play the game, even though i can run fobs just fine and any other R games fine. So yeah long story short, idk like really. And also when i run the game i get this screen, then it immediately closed

I guess it depends where you live, I thought Mega was a global platform as long as you got a link you had the ability to download the included data,

unless in your country you have very precise rules regarding the management of personal data, in theory the content, whether downloaded anywhere on the globe, remains the same

There is no need for content in the "animation" folder, these are default folders created by RPG Maker (I don't know the exact version) these are incomplete sprites that you can find in resource=>img , in the same way the folder named "JS" is only there for external scripts, For example if you want to make an order but what is not available on RPG Maker by default like "time management" you can find lots of script in Js format that you can integrate into your game via the "Js" folder

Don't forget that this is a demo, files have probably been deleted or even altered by Zell so that we cannot recover them (Intellectual property) I myself have in this version 1.25 no file in "Animation " or "Js" and the images are "corrupt" yet the game works

To summarize: It may come from your country, on this account try with other games in RPG Maker format (you have thousands of them every day) if it works it is because the problem does not come from there, test the previous versions, I have the mega link up to date with all the versions including the old ones, If it still does not work, I can only advise you to wait for the official release or a future demo version to retest

I'm good thanks, the confusion for me was with part 2 being a zip within a zip, I wasn't expecting it was all and thought someone could have done the same.
I tried using the installer without unziping the zip file. I soon got my head around it though, thanks.

Looks like a error related to DirectX, if re-intaling it doesn't work you will need to download the file from somewhere and put it on the designated path, try google it on out to do it because I can't help with that.

You just need to download that dll file & place it in the system32 folder for that issue, I placed it in both system32 & the folder the game is located in to be sure.

I have done multiple things but i still cant get it to work, in the past i could play the the 1.18 but suddenly it stopped working. I have extracted all of it into 1 folder and launched the exe but it kept on closing when launched and idk why do you know what is wrong?

And also everytime i extracted the file either the new one with 2 parts and the old one which only have 1 part, the resource files namely the animation is empty and i am very confused as how it is empty, so everytime i launch the player exe, it opens to that black screen and immediately crashes, can someone help me as to why, i have already installed the visual distributal C that zell recommended to download but still to no avail. and when i open the image file, all of the files are either corrupted or cannot be opened. If anyone has a solution it would be appreciated, Thanks.

you need to install at least DirectX 9. the whole install, not just a dll

If you're talking about FOBS, it's gonna be on pause for a while. If you're talking about the game that's not Shiro No Yakata, it gets updates around every month on the 28th.
