Navigating to see where the controls are is slightly annoying if you don't already know the controls, but FOBS does tell you what they are by default. And in fairness to Zell, the controls *are* managable. A bit too spaced out, but workable enough. Personally, I changed the jump button from Space to X and that worked wonders for me.
I actually dont see the problem with it tbh. Its largely the standard japanese layout. But maybe thats just me playing a ton of niche japanese games.

Supreme Dumbass of Thyme For me it's:
Map = M
Speed up game = R
Masturbate = S
Dash = Shift
Jump = Spacebar
Fully fill cum bar = E
Attack = A
Switch weapons = Q (no other weapons yet)
Monster ability = D
Switch monster ability = W
Menu = Tab
Menu switching = Q/W
Menu navigation = left/right arrows

I have not changed anything ever in any build.
I could post my keybinds in order if anyone wants to copy them.
Its been a hot minute, but lets see...
All of these are Numpad except for arrow keys and pgdown obviously.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8
Directional Buttons = 4 . . 6
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2
Map = -
Masturbate = ←
Dash = →
Jump = 0
CumBar Fill = pgdn
Attack = 5
Swap weapons = 7 9
Monster Ability = ↓
Menu = +
Menu Switching = 7 9
Menu nav = 1 3

This has actually been my general control scheme since i played packedrat years ago xD So im very accustomed to it.

It's probably the latter, but fair enough. I've seen a few different layouts across Japanese games, so this being another standard one doesn't surprise me. I just haven't seen it much.

Arrow keys for movement, AND being on the left side! That's kinda rare!
For decades it's always been absolute insanity to me to have directional controls on the right. I get it, the arrow keys are on the right... But so many games have been using WASD as the de-facto standard for so long yet indie developers and the odd AA/AAA game opt for arrow keys. When was the the last time you used a gamepad controller with movement on the right?
As someone else mentioned: this appears to be the lingering standard for Japan.

And I'm not saying that it's "bad"; just weird to me.
I do see the benefit if your input device has ghosting issues, and arrow keys provide some leeway for rollover.
To each their own - just use whatever is comfortable, but I'm still finding it surprising to this day.

I just wanted to play with one hand, and i dont find it comfy to play with my left hand.
Also teeechnically it is arrow keys as directional, but its the numpads arrow keys. I use the normal arrow keys for things like dodge and abilities.
I use the arrow keys because i can rest middle finger on 5 which can be set as an action/okay/attack button and with this position, 0 is the perfect resting space for thumb, so jumping and sometimes cancel are good stuff. Its only a slight shift to the left to hit the right arrow from the 0 button too, making it a good dodge or sprint button(unless the game has sprinting and jumping being a thing...)
The rest are just convenience buttons. + is great as a menu button. - Is great for alternative menu butons (like map). 7,9 are great for abilities if theres multiples, and also good for games that let you tab through pages in a menu (like most rpg maker games)

I do have a setup for the jkl; side of the keyboard as well, but its a little different. I had to set it up for some rpgmaker games that insist on making sprint locked to shift, which autohotkeys doesnt handle well.

After looking again (after I wrote my message so I'm an asshole for that) I see that FOBS does give its controls, if you know how to navigate lmao and switch the language (but it has nice visuals so language isn't really needed), but the menu nav is also at the top.

The controls are manageable, true. However, still ass lmao

So, is the walkthrough on the first page out of date for the 1.0 version you can download? Like, how does one capture Harpies or those hopping monsters in the dress in that one waterfall area?

Both Harpies and Mush have been and still are uncapturable from that build onward. That walkthrough is designed for the A and B versions of the game, which are reallly old and were made on an entirely different engine and are for all intents and purposes a complete game split in half.

Nah, you make sense.

Though now I'm wondering how to get these last achievements.

The ones for the Forest Dweller and the final achievement.

The last achievement I've yet to record since it's finnicky, but I have an explanation for the two Forest Dweller-related achievements in the guide I have linked below. The last one is literally just getting caught by the Milking Plant I believe, but similar to the Golden Honey in the January build, there's some vulnerability in the code that makes it impossible to get if a certain small flag* is triggered at the wrong time or incorrectly.

(Just in case, for those who don't know:

*Flag: a trigger in games that causes a specific thing to happen, be it an achievement, loading zone, story or area progression, ability unlocks, etc. They can have effects as big as triggering a true ending to a game or as small as determing where your character is standing--this also goes for the range of the triggers themselves.)

Those aren't unattained achievements. Achievements that haven't been attained will be grayed out. The slots you're referring to don't contain achievements at all, mainly because they were home to two achievements that currently don't work. I don't remember the first one, but the second one used to be where the achievement for beating Mashira damageless was.

I think that fits on my previous description of them as “not fully implemented“.
Somewhat, but that goes for literally any achievement not shown in the game yet. The achievement list isn't complete whatsoever. Every achievement that is shown in the game is fully implemented, which is what Milly likely was going off of. No achievement that is actively displayed in this build can't be attained. Those that are just not there to begin with, regardless of their presence in a previous build, should not count against that metric in this context since, truthfully, we're not even sure if those past achievements will stay achievements.

dont really remember the youtube vid i got this from, but this is the only thing that helped me with the damn 0xc000007b error.

basically have this thing backed up in case other games throw this error
and export all of it to the exe
(and dont mind the mtool)

Why didn't I think of that? :FacePalm:(the fact you all want to play 1 handed)
I normally separate these things if I'm honest.
At one time playing the game and on the other "enjoying myself".
Unless it's baked into the gameplay directly then I can do both.
Therefore a control scheme for 2 hands seemed natural to me but now things are much more clearer.
To each their own :)

Finish the Tutorial (which was supposed to be implemented this build but maybe we get it this month)
