It's a remake in a new engine. The old engine could not support Zell's ambition, so they decided to go and remake it.
Respectfully. You should have read more of the forum instead of just the remnants. The remake is still being developed actively and it not very far into said development, and while the tutorial was supposed to be in the December update, it wasn't finished on time. So you're making complaints that could all be explained with "it's being worked on."
