I mean, I guess that's progress lol? Two new enemies isn't really a high water mark for me, but I guess it might be considering how slow Zell typically is. There were a butt-ton in Succubus Affection and his horror game. 2 doesn't really seem like something to scream about to me.

It seems like the foundations being built up right now which means a lot of the progress is going into the actual systems in the game, with the 2 new anims mainly being there to keep people interested

Literally this. This is the best way to make the game. You get some showey stuff, and you fix a ton of backend shit. More devs should do this. All devs should probably do this if theyre doing an open access build like this. Focusing on just showey stuff, or just back end stuff will kill momentum for your game, or leave the game a buggy shitty mess.

To be clear, I'm not criticizing Zell or trying to be a downer. Maybe I'm just coming off wrong, lol. I'm glad progress is continuing and frankly even the unfinished game was good enough for me. Stuff like the butt-boxes are still among my favorite pixel animations.
But yeah, that was my point, it seems a lot of work for this patch was mostly background and foundational stuff which is fine, just not much extra for us peasants to sample just yet.

It's ok, you are not alone in there, I understand the excitement, especially when it's about something that really fits your tastes, I also think that it's not that much, but maybe that normal considering other projects with the same update rate (in terms of new releases per year) seem to follow that same path.
And that's why I like to wait a long time until I give those games a 2nd try, but that just why I prefer doing it in most cases, going back to a game each month just to enjoy +10 more minutes of content is not enjoyable to me, so I just wait and do other stuff in between.

Does anyone know what's the best place to get the newest demos? I see that they often post the demos on theor fanbox, but it's in 2 parts, and I haven't tried, nor do I know how one would merge the two (if they even need merging). Or would using the newest links in this thread be a better choice?

The February build was posted about 10 comments back roughly. Download it and extract it as it's all in one part now (at least for the time being).

Well the only real difference is that one is merged and the other isn't; yes they need to be merged.
Due to some regional issues Zell hast to do this file splitting thing which comes at our expense.
We've seen many struggle with the merging too.
If you don't want the headache, let someone merge them for you and provide the download link.
But if you want to try your hand at it:
After downloading the 2 files rename the part2 file, to avoid confusions, and then extract the 2 rar files.
Best is to extract them directly, maybe put them in an extra file if you want.
Then you simply run the part 1 file and it basically does everything for you.
