Is that....not how everyone is doing it?For Kappas, you don't need to actually outwrestle them. It's much quicker and efficient to just dash/dodge past her initial charge then quickly smack her in the back to force her to the ground. Then beat her into submission while she's down. They do have a tendency to jump away if you're not quick enough though.
Huh, never noticed that. What I'm more curious about is the gold coin the Kappa tosses in the river on normal defeats. Wonder if there's any way to grab that.
"as early as you can fast travel" or in other words once you step outside your hut/inside the hut.And an entry for the Glitches section:
- You can access the rocky wilderness area early (as early as you can fast travel) by opening the map, pressing W to switch to the unexplored wilderness area then pressing the confirm button, which will ask you if you wish to fast travel. Select yes and confirm and you can fast travel to the Wilderness without having even explored it.
1. I have not been doing it that way at all and I realize this whole time it was just because my timing was ass. Damn. For Kappas, you don't need to actually outwrestle them. I'm at least fairly sure that money will become more important as time goes on, there's just nothing that's been added as of yet.You really don't need to money farm in this game.
The achievements will give you all the money you would need and I still have money over after completing the forest AND buying every item in that shop there.
You can't even buy anything in the Wilderness.
It wasn't written down in the guide so I decided to post it here so that it makes it to the guide. The guide currently mentions only the strugglesnuggle way of downing the Kappa. Is that....not how everyone is doing it?
I mean you gatta for the achievement/capture, so why not always fight them like that?
During my playtesting, I've noticed that capture defeating the Kappa grants three silver coins (+30 total), while combat defeating the Kappa grants two silver coins and the unobtainable gold coin )which should be +70 total but is instead +20 with an unobtainable +50). It may just not be implemented fully as of yet.2. I'm fairly sure that's a hint that you have to defeat her another way to get all the possible money from her. (i.e., defeat her with the capture method.)
That much is true. But the OCD/completionists among us might still find this trivia interesting. The shopkeeper's bestiary entry also stipulates that her shop can be "accessed from anywhere" which sounds like we're going to have an expansion to available items further down the line. You really don't need to money farm in this game.

I know that but I am talking about right now there being no point in grinding; especially since saves don't stay between versions. That much is true.
