If he did the artwork and, assuming this new project is also something to do with goblins as the name of the email suggests, then there may be hope the new project will be as good as royals (not giving him a penny tho lmao).

He seems a bit snaky because he is not being clear or confirming whether FRoA is abandoned or not. Even if he had no choice but to abandon the game because he can't access his daz models, people will feel like he cannot be trusted because he took money from his subscribers and did not even finish the game. He could have followed up with a message saying the project is abandoned. Who's to say he won't do the same with the new project?

I also don't get why he cannot try to recreate the 3d models to resemble the game's model as close as possible. Maybe it is a lot of work to redo it from scratch. People would feel more respect if he was clear about it. Shit happens... but he chooses not to say anything.

Let's be honest... This game is truly one of the best that has ever existed. I think it just needs a little more advertising or something like that, because the idea of the game is good and I really want it to continue... I would even subscribe to support it.

Very true, but he did say in Patreon that he had a lot in real life going on. Example, got married.

I mean for someone who was gone for almost 2 years, he still got quite a few people who liked his posts when he came back. I would say people would be willing to support him more if he was honest. If he continued the project, people would be even more supportive. There's just no reason to start over again.

Why recreate it, though? The game is fine as it is, right? I want a continuation, but I think the original creator is working on that.

I think you would have more luck creating a game heavily inspired by it instead. Instead of Royals they could be Aristocrats, and instead of Goblins - Hobgoblins! There you go; The Unremembered Aristocrats of Hobgobville.
