I stopped using stats long ago (for various reasons), but I remember solving this back then by adding a few rules regarding the stats and modifying the Stat Update Prompt (in settings)

I remember something like adding 'Stat values are capped at 100" to the stat update prompt, but you need to be very specific, especially if the max value can change (level up, items, etc.) and take special care for stats that have different caps or mechanics.

The stats don't work very well and often have quite a few problems. This particular problem is caused by the change in the maximum stat value. The AI often confuses increasing a stat's value with increasing its maximum value.

For example, the AI sees the following:

Health 20/100 --> +50 ---> Health 70/100, but it sends the wrong prompt to the game's HUD, which ends up displaying 20/150.

This can be fixed by setting the following. In options ---> system prompts ---> Stats update prompt, remove the text in red and it should work better.



Also, a few days ago I made a post in this forum #987 asking for help with a stats issue. I included some images showing what's actually being sent to the AI; that might help you better understand the stats and also see how buggy they are.

I have a hard line in my prompt to stop this type of stuff. Can write a million different ways so feel free to tweak.
"Do not create items out of thin air without justification or prior player awareness"

Also helps with puzzles and not having keys magically appear without proper searching, or encouraging to go to another location to actually find.

Are you playing a custom downloaded world, or a world you made?

What's the World Description/System Prompt Addition and Entities plus Location details?

There may be something written that the AI is adding to the story you're not aware of, as I find it odd that a story about visiting a friend would have a little sister suddenly show up and the AI is trying to molest her.

Ask the AI to tell you why it did something. Something like "AI: Explain why ____, provide reasoning and referenced world rules"
Then fix or adapt the rules to avoid the unwanted behavior.
Rollback the story and try again.
