So, status report. Last scene of this update is a third complete. I had to rewrite it pretty thoroughly so everything is in place moving forward, and now I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
The iRay server that I use started becoming a nuisance on the last few days, upload speeds started to get REALLY slow, and it’s very frustrating to just look at the Daz screen while it uploads and not be able to do anything. So I started organizing my script, this is something I can do anywhere, on my laptop or even on my phone, so while the iray server doesnt go back to working normally I can at least start to get everything else set for release.
As I said on previous devlogs, Puggy started to convert the characters to Blender, since there’s a lot of skill involved into making the skin conversions to look right. He also made this amazing render of Emma in Blender, the level of detail is absurd, thank you Puggy! On a side note, he is really pushing me to start learning Blender, specially for the racing animation, and I may have started to cave a little bit, but not until this release is out. Learning Blender and doing the animations there may give me more freedom for what I need to do, and apparently animating cars and stuff like that is a bit easier than characters, so let’s see how it goes.
I’m going to be honest, I’m in a constant battle between being fairly confident on this release, and being anxious about “will it be enough?”. So yeah… I’d just like to thank everyone for the support until now, it means a lot.
