Seeing everything Emma is doing and sacrificing so that the protagonist can be able to chase his dream, there really isn’t any kind of competition for any romantic interest in this game. I mean, on one side you have the perfect girl, and on the other… anyone who isn’t Emma.

I downloaded this a week ago, but I didn't really have any free time to play it...

Until now, that is.

I cannot articulate how excited I am to have an F1-related AVN(Even if we're only at the Formula 3 level). The driving scenes shown so far are great. I'm not sure if they are embedded videos from Assetto Corsa or full-rendered animations, but regardless, they're great.

The music is a highlight, the songs by Grace in the Bar and the one in the end credits in particular. Emma is so cute that it, frankly, should be a crime. Evangeline is attractive. I wish we had more interactions, and I'm keeping my eyes peeled on that potential Royal(?) LI Viviane.

Can't wait to give Brad a 2nd place because he had a slow pit stop since it would "be fair" IYKYK

The only negative I can think of is the Senna bit since Prost was better(don't @ me), but alas, the dev is Brazilian. Nothing can be done

Will follow this project with great interest.

Regarding the driving scenes, the first one looks to be from one of the F1 games since the cars are current spec, the testing scene is most likely Assetto Corsa.

Hi! Just checking in.

So, the last couple of weeks were pretty grueling. We got a new project at work and it's basically fixing/managing stuff all day and being on call all night. Add to that that I had to travel for work and add to that that both my daughter and my wife got sick with some kind of virus/bacteria. Both are better now but yeah... Were not easy days.

Unfortunately, that meant that I could do very little progress on patching everything up for release. I'm hoping that this weekend I can get back to having at least 2 straight hours of development time. Also, this project that is screwing me over on my job is due to finish by this weekend as well, so next week I'll probably be freer.

I know that the development time is stretching more than anyone would like, and I have some ideas for next cycle that I'll get more in depth after the release of this one.

Gave this one a try, and I'm seriously impressed.
Lovely characters, nice renders with decent posing and environments. Good job on lighting and camerawork as well.
I wanted more content and to see how the story evolved, and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give.

A few nitpicks:

• I'd like it if the relationship between Emma and the MC were made clear earlier. We see them living together and interacting affectionately but also platonically.
  Seeing them sleep in separate rooms would clear this up immediately.
• Emma doesn't look 18. Her face looks older.
• At the restaurant, it's too bad that their plates empty instantly. I would've loved a small sequence of the food disappearing one by one.
• There are several mentions of Max (once by Brad at the HQ, twice in the bar with Grace) despite the MC's name being configurable.
• Two interruptions to gameplay by showing a screen asking if the subsequent sequence should play automatically or be clicked through. This needs to be a setting instead.
  This setting should also impact the sequence of Grace performing at the bar.
• The duke's daughter learning that Ricci cancelled the meeting with her father from guards. This feels far-fetched. It's already stretching things by Ricci's secretary having told the duke the reason for the cancellation, making it entirely unbelievable that the daughter learns of this through gossip by employees who are supposed to be highly professional. I'd like to suggest that the father inform the daughter himself, maybe by asking her to accompany him to some function instead. He could be annoyed at the cancellation and say he heard Ricci yell in the background about some racing driver.
• Emma tells Grace, "Your grandma sounds like an awesome person." Later, she tells Grace that she didn't know she died. This feels like a stretch to me, unless Emma only likes Grace's music on a surface level. As Grace is a rising star, there would've been multiple interviews available about the inspiration for her music, and she'd likely have mentioned her grandmother. While Emma didn't recognize Grace immediately, she did say her music helped her through hardships. I guess it's a bit too dubious to me how much of a fan Emma is. My impression of this scene was that Emma should've known better.
• At the racetrack, when Leah is shown opening her laptop, she's actually closing it. Her hands are on the top of the lid.
• When Emma whispers in Portuguese, it'd be nice to see the translation.
• There are a few instances of assets having the MC's name as M. Character or M.C.; these can be changed to the MC's actual name with some Ren'Py magic.
  For instance, the screen on the laptop can have a transparent square with the MC's name underneath it. This would cut off names that are too long in a clean way.
• I like how we get to see Leah gain respect for the MC as she sees what he can do. They work well together.
  Sadly, I don't know anything about this sport, and the jargon was off-putting. I would love to hover over certain text (references & jargon) and see a popup explaining what's going on.
• There are a few renders with Emma while she's looking to the side, her eyes looking very strange (like after the MC's race when chatting with Grace and later Aurora). It looks like her eyes are bulging out of her skull.
  This is also a fairly unnatural way to look at someone. Real people would turn their heads slightly more.

Now, given my actual knowledge....should I even try this or is the underlying/overarching 'motor sport' storyline just going to have me rolling my eyes?

Like any other game here, bring your suspension of disbelief to the table before you start to play and you'll hopefully be fine. I know having direct knowledge of the subject can make that harder, but if you ignore that bit about the racing levels, the game has a decent start that will either draw you in on its own merits... or won't.

Personally, given what you say there, I think maybe yes, the motorsport elements might have you eye rolling a bit too much, but there's plenty outside of that to make up for it and make it worth a try.

Dude Have some imagination It's a story being told Not everything has to be 100% Accurate and you know Most racing division like f1 or f2 have Trademarked their name and logo's, But you should've known that right Since your Dad and you were in motorsport right.

You've worked in the industry? Unfathomably based.

From my understanding, MC will be starting at the Formula 3 level of racing*. But the opening cinematics appeared, in my eyes, to take place in Formula 1, I could be wrong, but it might have also been the season-ender of Yas Marina(been a while since I played, might be wrong tho)

*MC and Emma have been talking about getting into open-seaters after MC won too many Karting championships but needing the required funding.

That opening cinematic was interesting, but it also took away the suspense. A big part of the current content is the financial pressure the MC is under. But the intro already tells us he'll make it to F1 and eventually retire (or worse?) leaving a mark on the industry... It's like reading the final page of a book first.

Yes i agree with you. I hate games with that kind of premise, i delete most of them after seeing that scene. But in this game, it was already so predictable that it got me fired up.

This game is already going at Ocean speed,so to see MC at F1,oh boy. He will probably retire(abandon) from the racing,before that...
