Yes. Like I said, anything not Vanilla, as in MC + 1 LI, will be optional, and very clearly avoidable.
It's still early in development and I would like to avoid giving hopes on what's not set in stone.
That said, the game has multiple endings planned, where one might involve not committing to anyone in particular.
Choices in game will make it obvious what's your desired path. I'm trying to develop it as to avoid the need for a mod. There will be some points of no return obviously, or else there would be no stakes, but I'm trying to be clear about what's being presented to not need a notepad, a tracker, or a mod to know what path you're on.
Edit: I'm not committing to an update schedule or something like this because doing this alone is a gargantuan task. If I feel that a certain path needs 3 different outcomes to make sense and not break immersion to keep up with the principles I set for the game, then I will have to do the 3 different paths, and that will take the time it needs to take for it to be a product I'm happy with. I abandoned the concept of making it perfect long ago, so as long as things keep moving, I'm happy to keep doing it.
