other way around for me, really dont want to be that anoying doof, i am ok with Tenzin...but other than a new character, I dont know who would fit in the context of the game, learning airbending, especially to have some new dynamic...

Or you could go with the other option we presented and play as the MC himself since he was supposed to be the Avatar in the "present" timeline.

The 'present' timeline being at the very least 18 years after Korra's death, mean that no, he isn't an option, unless you want book 4 to be OC only and given that Korra is confirmed for book 4, it's simply not possible unless Korra suddenly isn't the avatar anymore.

MC is still the Avatar and still has access to his past lives. It could present itself as Korra helping the MC out as a past life.
Every other canon character could still be alive.

Except they would all be at least 18 years older (and that's if the MC is the earth kingdom avatar, if he is the fire nation avatar, a lot more time could have passed) which would put some of the potential girls into 'granny porn' territory
And the 'spirt in your head' thing is already taken by the chibi snake girl.
I always found Azula, Asami and Tenzin's sister hot! It's a lucky day for me I guess.

IMO that's just the easy way out and was quite a cop out for Book 2 already given that the game start by saying that those you're going to posses are either avatars or had a connection to the avatar, starting making OC is just so we can play them is meh.
