not sure about reproducing it, since it's my first playthrough and i just stumbling through the game as it is, but looks like problem is in "villagefavors" variable - it should update as you complete quests and get to 3 after all quests complete, but my got stuck at 2, so one of the quests didn't properly add up
can't say much more, need to look through the code and see how quests implemented, it's probably somewhere in \game\scripts.rpa
hmmmm that might be a "timing" flaw then, if you somehow managed to drift out of balance with hunting, Katara questline, Endorsing, and Villagers quests. Katara especially only tells you when you haven't been hunting enough..
if you, like, spend the first 30-40 days hunting only, or in the mines only (i never did really) some dependencies may go out of whack, that's my guess.
being their "let's just start this thing" first part of coding, might have a bucket of flaws that never made it to surface, but are still in the spaghetti, patiently waiting to show.

*edit* adding stats or money by working the code (cheats, console) will most certainly have that effect especially in book1 for the above reasons.

Messaged MITY about the overworking book 1 thing, their answer (also a tidbit on why Jinora's date in the laste update felt so short, at least to me):

damn :( book 1 was the best imo, the love route dates with katara felt really wholesome so i hope that by "rework" they mean the art/game and not the story :c
Although, I will admit the date with jinora felt way different compared to the dating scenes in the rest of the game, but it was a nice touch to make MC have that moment of realization (which i dont wanna spoil for anyone who still hasnt played the update n.nU)

You didn't by chance use console commands before the "bug" happened?

nah, the only "difficulty" in the game is a grind anyway and i had some time to kill, so there was really no reason to go for cheats
was playing rather balanced, without committing to one activity in case i could miss some scenes, i did some save scumming though, primarily during mining for better roll

There's two more quest I'm aware of, enduring the story of the old lady in the Elder Council and helping Nami take care of the shop. Though without these you shouldn't even have the option to have sex with Katara in the first place.

yeah did all these, i checked with a walkthrough afterwards - the only thing i missed after finishing book 1 is some "zombie mooselion tale" sidequest in the mines, which should trigger after 8 visits to mines, but for some reason didn't and i mined way more than that

add: i did save scummed mines though, so that might be a reason for missing side quest, although i did find porn magazines, so not everything was broken

finished book 4, well.. played until game kick me out with "no more content" prompt, whole run on love route
gonna say, even considering book 1 being on a weaker side - book 4 was the worst, sure writing and characters still on point, but game's pacing and overall gameplay is completely off - if before you needed to check every location and npc just to make sure you not missed anything and it was more or less up to you, now you HAVE to do it, sometimes multiple times over, just to progress, prison sequence at the end was just a pinnacle of this location grind, at least book 1 had some semblance of gameplay in it, now it's just "click every location ten times over till game decide you can move a bit forward to start clicking again"
and those new mini games not helping either - looking for attack/defend window while having to look where you even need to click? who even come out with that genius idea? is it for playing on phones? cuz on 1440p it suck, hard, unless there are hotkeys i'm missing, playing it with just a mouse is not fun... memory game not much better, but at least it short enough
not sure how things are different on slave path, will go for a new run now, but if i ever gonna replay love route again - book 4 will get a complete skip

Seriously, has everyone have the reflexes of a chair or how the hell does anyone have trouble with the fighting game?
You have all the time in the world to hit

no you don't. the game starts to inconsistently lag during the fighting minigame, as in, the framerate changes all the time, and the timing is off because of that. confirmed by playing on different resolutions on the same system; lowest possible being the ancient 800x600 with just the same effect, the timing is off. i can deal with lag, if it's consistent. i do play old games online, with old net codes that can't go better than 0.5sec latency, but it's constant 0.5sec there. dealt with worse, back when the interwebs was still young. try a shooting game on a 14.4 modem. but the lag was constant. you can work with that.

Hello there. This game is completed? I played when there were no book 4. So is there some final after 4 books?
