It wasn't meant as criticism but to support the argument.
Book 1 and 2 have very little side cast and in my opinion it's part of what makes book 2 stand out from the others. The more distractions you have the more your plot will suffer. I'd rather have missed the swamp women and get more Korra/Jinora for it.

Yea, the swamp women (except Jorina, but that could be incorporated differently) were sort of both beside the point and annoying.

The way I see it, each book has its own unique feel and atmosphere, which cannot be compared to the others. Each book has its own charms, highs and lows, which lose their meaning when viewed collectively, and personally, I like it that way. Makes the game feel more dynamic instead of repeating the same concepts over and over.
In Book 1, your goal is to simply woo Katara, and nothing else.
In Book 2, you try to balance your relationships with your crazy sister, your gloomy girlfriend, and TyLee being TyLee, all the while trying to regain your memories, acting as a prince and leading the fire nation army in the war.
In Book 3, you try to have a meeting with the Earth King (although this gets put way down in your list of objectives), after you get evicted from Ba Sing Se. You build a small village with the help of Toph and Katara, while trying to overthrow the secret organization Dai Lee, which is controlling the politics of Ba Sing Se from the shadows, and controlling the Earth King as well. You explore the underground maze of Lake Laogai, free those who are captured, provide them shelter in your village.
In Book 4, you help the present Avatar in her darkest times, help her get back on her feet, visit old friends from the previous books, hook up with literally every girl in sight, all the while trying to stop the Earth Kingdom from starting another war.
P.S. I'm talking about the Love route, haven't played the Slave route yet (not a fan of mentally torturing or breaking, unless the game doesn't allow otherwise (still feel bad tho) ).

For the most part the slave route overall stories are more or less the same, the only real outlier being BK2 where you're some random create-a-bender who for some reason Azula lets live and you corrupt her and the Fire Nation
BK3 the big difference is that you use the mind control instead of get rid of it and BK4 instead of it being the darkest hour your just training her and there is no war
Obviously the lovey-dovey dialogue is also gone and your more of an asshole but that's a given

I like muscle women so I found the swamp women really hot. They also provided some much needed filler and deus ex machina for explaining plot points and moving the story forward.
My guys, if someone's on their patreon could you suggest a scene where you read pema's magazine with her and she starts touching herself, maybe ending with a lil sex scene?? That would be extremely hot

I gotta give it up for the art style on this one - the dev(s?) did a great job keeping it consistent with the source material even with their OCs.

So, it looks like they are backfilling new scenes in old chapters now. Which... yea it is nice.
But I don't really feel like replaying the game (yet) to see those. A natural drawback of the chapters method.

big YEABUTT there for all the solely-this-or-that-only players. you do miss quite a big part of game content, if you play only one route each book, no matter which route you play. ok less as much for bk1 since that doesn't have the longer, more complex stories of the later ones. still, you're missing out.

I feel only the slave route of book 4 is a must-to-be-played. In book 1 the differences are minimal. Book 2 and 3 slave routes are low quality stories imho.
