The MC is skipping around in time, while the other characters are just living their lives. It's implied that the MC returns to the past sometime after the first three books but while the Avatar cast are still young. All granny characters in book 4 know whats going on, but the cannot tell too much to the MC.

Okay I re-played that opening and it was subtly implied that Katara helped guide the MC to the male body. You are right it was a well written scene , I kind of missed the turn around being the spirit did say "Do you like watertribe girls?" and then he winds up in the male body. Several things distracted me 1. Katara being old. 2. Me being happy to see her in the game again. Even though she is old as dirt. The game of count the fucks had me rolling that was great ! and probably caused me to not be paying as much attention as well.

(I haven't played Slave route but wtf?) Well on Love Route of Book 4, Spirit tells him that she wanted to put him into Korra's body. And MC freaked out (as you said). However, remember how Katara went "This is the last chance you might die" or something? She used her healing powers and (I assume) connection with MC to actually attract his spirit in a vacant body! Effectively Beaver Dam'ing Spirit from messing with him. Katara is a badass, shame she couldn't get her hands on Youth body lotion like Azula did XD

Actually, I noticed around book 2, and 3. That some girls have different more or less sexual content based on the route.
Book 2:
Slave: You have more Tylee content but less Mai. But you can have fourmore with all of them.
Love: You have more Mai content less Tylee content you don't even have sex with her in this route.
Book 3:
Slave: You have Katara and Toph Lez Action, get Jo dee pregnant, less Suki kinda content differences.
Love: No KxT content, and plenty of Suki content and other difference's.
I love how each route is very different from the other.

Yeah I missed that aspect for sure. You can get youth potions from shady in the training grounds at night so you can bang her younger self. One thing I noticed while using the youth potions on all the girls the only part of their bodies that are actually old are the faces(Thank God) I did them both ways just to see the dialog. All of them made comments about the MC being a bit sicker in the head when you bang them old. LOL

Okay I have been thinking this for quite some time. How many here think shady is the MC's future self? sure seems that way to me. He always knows where the MC is and what he needs next. He looks a lot like the MC at least as much as each that can be seen(they both seem to wear hoodies all the time). the time line is long for the story like many decades but Shady is always the same age indicating he has time travel capabilities or has become immortal, I have a feeling after being in the spirit world so much and time travelling all the time that the MC is somehow not entirely human any more.

Its a common theory. It doesn't fit perfectly but it's definitely possible.
btw I don't know why you people bother grinding to get potions or money, just cheat it. It's not like the grinding is any fun, and fun is what we're here for.

I think the reason why both MC and Shady wear hoods up is that MC is supposed to be the "Faceless" protagonist (for immersion purposes) and is using Shady's assets. And Shady is... just a generic deus ex machina. Some dialogue does imply that he knows more than he lets on, but... how would you go about from Avatar with a dead beat life to... that? Also I'm pretty sure that our MC hates time travel as much as everyone else. I mean... Do you really think he'll go ♫Back in time♪ just so that he could help himself for no benefit in the meantime?

Could be, but I don't see Shady as a deus ex machina character to me a character like that does not appear as often as he does usually they come in at the end and bam the story ends with a nonsensical pulled out of the ass finish. I am not firm in my assertions about them being the same person but I can see a few reasons why the writers would do what I suspect. The questions I keep asking that lead me to my theory is why is Shady there , there are many ways the goods he provides could be worked into quests for the MC to complete he really does not need to be there for the goods. If the time line is decades long why does he not age? when all of the other for lack of a better word NPC's are aging or dieing normally? in the slave rout of book 4 Shady shows up in the water tribe village and literally goes Super Sayin on the MC in the shop and he is collecting essences of life(not sure how else to describe what he is collecting). Then there is the fact that in book 3 Katara says that the MC came back and told her about his mission presumably the MC could not have come back until the mission was complete other wise how would he know what kind of help he would need? Its like a time paradox type thing or possibly even a butterfly effect where he has to come back to change things that did not work out right in his own time line , then again it could also be parallel universe territory maybe similar to to a Stiens Gate scenario. Shady could have been the one that contacted Katara , all he would have to do is tell her about something that only the MC and her would know in order to convince her although I doubt that it would be necessary for him to do so being that Katara recognizes the MC instantly when ever she see's which ever body he inhabits. I mean its not like there is a over all connecting series of events that say I am your future self but it certainly could be the case. Until the game is finished we will not know the mind of the creators but I would not be surprised if it turned out to be true.

Shady moved the plot along multiple times, dunno what his role is like in Slave route... (I feel reluctant to play I like I said) but without his intervention, we'd be stuck constantly. If Shady was MC, he'd know about lollipops. Maybe Shady is his dad. XD
But like, he might not age because he's pissing youth potion for all we know. Watersports were never my thing so I hadn't explored those scenes.
BTW can you actually lewd Ikki on Love route?

Yes he moves the plot but is he really needed to do so? there are many other ways that could be accomplished. Of course this neither proves or disproves my theory...
Ikki can be lewded in the love rout she will do anal not sure if she does vaginal, lolis is not really my thing but I had to know so to speak... I thought someone in this thread said you could do vaginal too just not sure about that.

Shady once said that he is "accidently immortal".... whatever that means. So going back to the past while knowing fo sho that he'll be around for his time (his = MC in this theory) is not that bad. He doesn't need youth potions (assuming he's telling the truth, which I'm pretty certain he does).

forgot where exactly it was, but Shady did hint at being immortal (or such) by accident. don't pin me on the wording, haven't been in the game for a while. couldn't even say which book it was, or which route, because i do play all aspects as completionists do.
well here's the thing. i rather do some grind. what i really don't like about some games, is that you have to cheat; that you have to have a walkthrough, because they are unbearable otherwise, but still you want to play them. luckily the grind in FET isn't that bad.

Ikki is definitely not loli in the love route. She clearly hit puberty at the least, and may even be legal.

I was using lolis a bit generically as in under age not under 12 per say. Its hard to say what there ages are for sure but if the art is representative both her and her sister would be under legal age probably. I know the disclaimers.. but...

I hear ya that simon says bull is my least fav mini game of all the ones in this game so far. The prompts are at the first instance where you are in the potion to possibly lewd the girls (first things do not involve penetration) you have to answer by being ambiguous meaning if you answer in any moral way you don't get the scenes. wish I could remember the exact wording but that would require me to play that damn mini game againXD
