Ren'Py - Four Elements Trainer [v1.1.2b] [Mity]

Great art, fun characters and I genuinely laugh throughout because of the writing. Highly recommended for any fans of the source material. The different paths also offer ample opportunity for replays.

I remember discovering this game 3 years ago while I was new to Ren'Py adult games, when Book 3's slave route was still in development. I remember liking the game so much that I played the game several hours straight. While I still like it enough that I come back to it, that rate has been growing less and less.

In general, there are four books, which are basically chapters between different time periods in the ATLA lore. Each book since the first has a "Love" and "Slave" route, with the Love routes being developed after the completion of the slave route. The newer content has better art and animation, which you can compare with the five year gap between Book 1 and the latest scenes in Book 4. Each book has you linearly progress in interacting with a main girl and a few canon and non-canon side girls.

Been a long time since I played Book 1 and I remember it being straight forward and short compared to the next books. It was pretty vanilla though with the sex scenes, which I appreciate. Probably decent for 2016, but not for a game in 2021. In my opinion, the game peaks in Book 2. It is still a mostly linear experience, but the story could branch out a bit and both routes have multiple endings. It is also when the game first introduces an attempt in animating the sex scenes, which wasn't smooth with just a few frames, but worked decently enough in my opinion. My personal favorite is the love route, and I still think the writing on the main story is really good and the best one in the game. The writing made me invested to the main girls as characters and the actual story itself.

After that the writing on the next two books didn’t feel as great, so I’d skip through the dialogue most of the time. I still liked Book 3's slave route where progressing was still straight forward and consistent. Somewhere in the middle Book 3's love route was when I started getting annoyed at the game. The humor, which was always a large part of the game and juvenile but initially funny with few misses, felt even cheaper and sometimes make the protagonist be an unlikeable douchebag. The flow of the game would feel inconsistent sometimes and the newer minigames being added felt needless. The length feels even longer with even more sex scenes. However many of these scenes, especially the unavoidable ones, felt they were included just for the sake of it instead of being properly written in. This also includes some new fetishes, which felt tokenly added in and some can’t be avoided. For both Book 3 routes, the game went back to being more linear, not including multiple endings like in the second book. These flaws would continue and in my opinion be way worse in Book 4, although I have a slight soft spot for the still developing love route. To sum it up, I just didn't like the direction the writing of the game was taking.

Maybe I just have high expectations ever since playing through Book 2, but I felt the potential of the game’s story writing was very much wasted after that. The sex scenes are still good, but it says much about the game if I’m becoming more inclined to use the gallery mod instead of playing through properly.

Very good game. fun dialogs, good art, lot of variety. Very different nice / evil paths. Great characters. A bit too much grinding at times, but not enough to lower the score. Great use of the original series material. Story arcs have inequal quality: the first one is a bit weak compared to the following.

Well I know it just a game. And none of this real. But I really had very good times playing love route all those book (book 1-3) you know.I mean I really do. Its ... you know...you guys already played it right? Those adventure. Good thing happened bad thing happened. .But I told you I really had a good times. The relationship of these characters that comes. those fun times.those drama. I really wish when our character mission is over. We... I mean him the our character has kept the promises made with those girls.And go through various obstacles in life together.

Great and interesting story with decent gameplay. It has a pretty original story with a good connection to the world of the original. Gives you a few options which impact the content and also gives people with different likes the posibility to avoid what they dont like or offer a bit of replayability to those who enjoy both paths. The art was good and interacting with the characters was entertaining and how the relationship grew.
As mentioned earlier gameplay was decent with a few turn based combats, simple rock paper scissor like strategy and a few other simple things to create a feeling of reward as you progress.
All in all very enjoyable would defintiely reccomend to anyone who doesnt NEED a really hard or unique gameplay to enjoy.

Just everything you could want out of a parody porn game. Great art that accentuates sexuality but still maintains similarity to the origin, a well written and humorous story, and just a lot of stuff to do.

Incredible art, and amazing dialogue which is consistently hilarious hard carries game play mechanics which are simply too grindy. It is, however, absolutely worth doing that grind and playing the game. The MC is probably the single best MC out of all the protagonists on this site; he is a real force of personality. It is great fun to play as him. Sex scenes cover a wide range of fetishes and look great from book 1 to 4.

Dialog is hilarious and the art is amazing. I haven't found a single Avatar game anywhere NEAR as good as this. You have so many characters, all the kinks and content you want, good overall mysterious storyline to explain how you're going from book to book, etc. Can't wait for this game to be complete.

A mediocre game.After I play this game for a couple while.I feel like this game is inconsistent in writing and art.Especially Book 1 and Book 4.Tbh,Book 1 is poorly design even though it have 2 seperate route.Mini game is Grindy and unnecessary sometimes.It start to go down after Book 3.Some plot and character development doesn't feel like completed and some important character don't have any meaningful role in the game (example:Ty Lee and lots of character in book 1,3 and 4)which is a shame.There is a lot that need to be improved and there is a lot of opportunity to make the story better,but Dev didn't take the chance.I can't put this game 5 star because there is still alot of flaws in the game.

The game is simply too grindy and the animations are too basic for me to give it a higher score, additionally the whole process of the game takes so long even when using the skip button. In the start it was fine because there were tons of random scenes that broke the monotonous everyday grind, but eventually you see them all, not even 20% done with the current chapter and then you hang to dry.

I assume you'll get new random scenes after you hit certain benchmarks, but waiting and grinding was too boring, so I stopped playing. I did give 2 stars since at least the game has some customization and the art style isn't bad.

"Came for the porn, Stayed for the story". That's the only way i can begin to describe this VN.

When i first played it, I was actually surprised at how much story there was and how good the writing was. The plot got me legit interested as hell, the humor is literal meme gold, and the character interactions are just *chef's kiss*.

Playing the "slave route" first and then moving on to the "love route", I actually felt like MC's personality developed instead of acting like the slave route never happened (similar to what undertale did), and idk if that was intentional or not, but i loved it xD

And all of this works BIZZARRELY WELL when put together, you end up having characters that are actually charming and compelling, who can also make 4th-wall-breaking jokes without it feeling forced or weird, and a story that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet is capable of having serious, sad, and even wholesome moments that keep you wondering what'll happen next update.

UNIRONICALLY 10/10. Do yourself a favour and play this visual novel.

The game is too much grinding, and repetitive. Storyline is average, but the main character is kinda dumb ,annoying , making dumb comments during the entire game. Even though its a sandbox game there is no direction on what to do , there's literally no hint menu , also very few choices are provided to interact with the charactersof the game in accordance to a player.

What should I say? It's just a good game with porn.
I love it, the characters are well designed (duh) and the writing is sooo good.
I sencerely hope in a grand finale, and I hope they will go on macking games like this eaven after this one is finished.

I've been playing this game for 3 years now. Other than one long hiatus, FET is constantly being updated and there is constantly work going into it. Of all of the 2dcg games out there, this probably has the most scenes. The Art is quality and everything is done in the same animation style which is nice.

If there's one thing more that I want, it's Anal Scenes with Zhu Li , Jinora, and Ikki.

BEST GAME EVER, I never thought i would ever say that to adult game. specially book 3.

book 1 are just introducing the mechanic, Book 2 are just grinding for me, BUT one of the best character "Shady" will show up. I would consider him as my best friend . and the book 3 it was the best wholesome moment in the game, if you choose "love". book 4 i cant review yet, since it still under construction.

This game is what all trainers should strive to be, the art is good the story is enjoyable, and the systems are fairly simple. The earth kingdom specifically is 10/10 the other ones i did not like as much but the games not done after all.

One of my favorite games on the site.

Somehow manages to be both funny and sexy at the same time. The love/slave routes means both romantics and people who are more into rough domination/submission can find someting to to do.

Even though I don't like minigames in general, the ones here are are not too bad or can often be skipped.

Some parts can be a little grindy, but it never becomes too much to ruin the flow of the game imo.

Basically its a really well-balanced game.

This game is legendary.
Top tier H-scenes. Top tier story. Top tier quality and quantity. Top tier lewd every single female character. Top tier crab fights. Top tier they are all 18 and age to 21 depending on your country.

It does have its flaws, some sections can be really lengthy, especially if you have no idea what to do to progress. You may even not like it for subjective reasons and that's fine. It does make an effort to let you choose between slaver and lover route and that's a plus.

The main point I want to make with this review (and the reason it is 5 stars) is that the author understands why we're all here. I find in so many games it's like you have to read a novel before any lewd action goes on.

This author balances good porn and storyline excellently; interweaving the 2 very well. It also has clever and humorous writing that breaks up the lewd elements and keeps you entertained and playing.

The artwork is good, the fetishes are good and the corruption is done well. It is grindy; but it's a trainer. Trainers kind of have to be grindy by nature.

It also has some fun side elements like the crab battling (inspired by pokemon) that are fun for a while.

Overall I think it deserves 5/5 as an adult game.

Fantastic drawings, normal music and fairly normal mini-games.
Everyone should try it at least once, and once you get past Katara the game becomes something great and reaches its climax with Azula and Toph.

With Katara, little changes whether you choose the love or slave path.
With Azula both good, but personally I prefer path love.
Toph which is the best saga has both very good paths, but I prefer the slave path from her.
With Korra it starts to "get worse", for me it doesn't reach the level of Azula or Toph but it's still a good "book", but only in the slave path, the Love version just didn't convince me.
All the subsequent scenes did not convince me.

I continue to recommend the game which maintains a good level but as far as I'm concerned the current scenes no longer suit my tastes.
