Mity's art is generally mediocre, what sets him apart though is that he at least tries to follow the original style, the problem comes from his complete inability to draw bodies well, he messes up toes, limbs length, and overall propotions.
Toph in particular looks weird as hell, with wide torso making her resemble a TF2 character.
Azula and Katara(and also Lin, Suki, Ty Lee, basically goddamn everyone) both have same issues of proportions, with overly big breasts, along with overly wide torsos which don't even fit the kind of characters they are, and generally weird limb lengths, which you can see when Asami/Korra are shown in full frame.
in some scenes where he draws their faces sidewasys, he also completely fucks it up and does generic anime side face instead of trying to recreate originals.
with Jo Dee, he messes up proportions yet again, as well as smile dimples being present at all times, likely as a result of poor research.
I think a lot of his positive reception has to do with generally low standards on art, so even absolute barebones art like his is seen as "good".
