For the nth fucking time, the Coder is the senior partner on this.
He came up with the concept for the game, then brought on the artist.
They may be a team, but it's the Coder's baby and the artist can't just hire on help when he's not the one who probably owns the Patreon and gets the checks.
Jezus man u made me spill my tea all over keyboard god damn it. But yeah. I didnt post anything on this forum was in read only mode but these few months since 4 months delay... Now it just looks like another excuse, maybe now artist needs a vacation? What's next? I was laughing when some one joked about 'coder will get corona virus' but this? As a dog owner I feel sorry ofc but this is just too suspicious.

Doesn't matter who get the check, they need another coder either way, both the artist and the coder himself should realise that.

And the coder can't really do much without the artist can he? What's your point here? Are you going to defend them and tell us that they really don't need another coder? If the coder is constantly running into "problems" whether personal or with implementing something new surely they should realise "huh I need some help, we make fucking thousands from this patreon so how about we use a little to pay another guy to lend me a hand?". No, instead we have the artist posting constantly about how he forced the coder into a break because "he was burning himself out since he just doesn't know when to quit with his work!!!!", but that doesn't show in the product that releases. Call me entitled, call me ungrateful, I really don't care. It annoys me when I see people constantly spewing out bs in the hopes people will lap it up and then you have people defending it for whatever reason. They have a responsibility, and yet they still collect the checks when they go through all these "problems" and skip release dates and we're all left with nothing but disappointment and a big fuck you. I was there when they dropped the first build in a /stg/ thread and brazenly claimed they would be updating monthly, and for a while they did and people were shocked, they were consistent and the quality of the game was great. But now we're lucky if we even get an art asset post that isn't a thin veil used to cover whatever bullshit excuse they picked out of a hat for that month.
Yes that's exactly my problem with them. I was supporting them back when Book 1 came out and stopped after book 3 but still paid them like a full price AAA game in total. So this whole situation with 4 months delay really opened me eyes. When people paid them in advance hoping to get an update and when there was no freaking update they didn't return money for that month with 0 content(or at least stopped collecting money for a 'vacation' period) they simply came up with this whole 'oh he was trying so hard and didn't want to stop so I forced him(how if he has 'no power over him'?lol) to take vacation. And now this delay again... well I'm just glad I'm not a patron anymore

also, yes, the artist has a reason to lie and that reason is: the coder, who is the lead of the project tells him "dude, make a post and throw some excuse in it"

VERY well said. English is not my native so I can't put it as well as you but you sir NAILED it.
It's not like its 1999 and we just DONT HAVE OPTIONS because there are none apart from charging patrons each month. They could have 1)make a vote, 2)change their payment plan(from monthly to per release) 3)could have stopped collecting money for period they take vacation but open a separate website/payment method for people who wanted to 'donate for coder recovering'. BUT THEY DID NONE OF THAT. So it made me realize - its not like they DONT HAVE other options, it's that they DONT WANT other option. And its ironic also because when they were small(less than 6000 $ a month back when I was patron) they were much more punctual and didnt have any bs excuses. But now when they doubled this sum(or even tripled?) they started to behave like this. Really sad to see what money and greed makes with people.

You get nothing for completing the card game.. I dunno if there's gonna be a content for that in the future updates. Also I think that's about it for 8.5d,... Now I welcome you to the waiting room and be upset by the delayed updates like everyone else..
