Developer, don't pay too much attention to the detractors - this has the bones of becoming a good game. I like the art style and core gameplay.
I also disagree with reducing this game as a bug-filled copy of Snapshot. Two games can have the same base concept that is as generic as "take voyeur pics" and not be copies of one another. This game does a lot more than Snapshot. For one thing, this one has no AI art which is great. Then there's the day/night cycle, curfew, and homebase.
Having said that, there are a few bugs. I played this game for an hour and change, got to day 17 or so. The time indicator in the top right was going haywire for me from the get go and that never changed - not great. The email system also started duplicating emails and deleting them didn't work (they just returned when I reopened the email inbox). Also, I'm not 100% on this but I'm reasonably sure that the rent was automatically deducted even after I paid the bill manually.
Some other things that annoyed me or just remarks in general:
- the slow walking speed. Just a little bit faster would be nice.
- short stamina for the running speed. You can barely run from one end of your own room to the other without the stamina running out. (Running with the upgrades did feel a lot better.)
- related to the previous 2 points: Going around the map is very tedious, especially in the beginning when you have to return to home every 2 photos.
- It would be nice to have some indication that you've taken a photo that you can sell to one of the shady buyers on the street. (Maybe even just changing the indicator above the shady buyer from a ? to a ! when you have a picture in your inventory could work. Or maybe that's already in the game and I didn't pay attention lol)
- collission on objects like trees and benches feels very wide, you get stuck on that stuff way too easy
- the minigame needs a tutorial. The first 3 times I pressed start I immediately tried to move the mouse into the box and auto-failed because I'd accidentally hit the wall. It's not a difficult minigame (it's a good minigame in fact) but it's a little confusing where your mouse is the first time.
So yeah overall it shows promise but it's still very barebones.
