VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Free Pass: Season 1 [v1.22] [After Choices]

Unfortunately, I felt like I had to rate Free Pass as average.

The renders and character design are good, but the scenes and lack of animation really sticks out in the modern world of VNs.

There is no voice acting, which is fine, but as a story medium, the written word needs to be understandable, believable, and grammatically correct. Free Pass had some very janky dialogue and overall bad grammar/syntax.

Free Pass is not a well-made game. The writing is on the verge of being awful, the characters are terrible, and it doesn't really follow through on the concept of the game.

First of all, if you aren't into lesbian porn don't play this. There's little content in the first place and if you skip the lesbian stuff there's barely any. Besides that, the content that is there is just terrible. It sets up for a couple scenes like it might be a nice slow burn of a story before the main character immediately starts fucking her son. It is so sudden and doesn't feel realistic at all.

Free Pass also fails as a visual novel. The only choice you make is if you want to see a specific kink or not. There isn't a unique story based on the choices you make. This "game" is just a slide show where you can decide if you want to see certain scenes or not. The routes are completely linear.

Only good thing about this is that the protagonist's model is really good looking. I wouldn't recommend this game unless you're looking for a lesbian/trans cheating story, and even then the writing/plot will disappoint.

Other than nice renders, this game doesn't have much going for it at all. The writing is atrocious and nearly all the story lines are bad. If you actually care about decent writing with your porn, just skip this.

So that really just leaves people who want fap material. Is this game good for that at least? No. Horrible camera angles and sex scenes with very few renders each. It's not really worth it.

So why two stars? Because playing as an Asian Milf Character who isn't a complete stereotype is a good premise. Damn shame that this is the result.

I don't get why people are not satisfied about this game. It is a female protagonist deprivation game with a lot of kinks. I played a couple more fem protagonist popular titles before this one. They have better ratings and they feel inferior to this game in any way (may they have more kinks). The story is not the strongest suit of this type of games so I deal with it. For these type of games visuals are the most important thing, cuz that is why we play these and this game excels at it.

- Protagonist is an Asian milf.
-Models are realistic and stunning.
-Animations are fluid and stunning.
-Plot is average and predictable, as with any fem protagonist deprivation-corruption game.
- Plenty of kinks.
- Asian culture is present in the game.

TL-DR: marvelous graphics and scenes, worth a play but not a replay.

The game was passable before... Now, the renders have improved but the writing is terrible (not that is was ever good tbh), and the dev is phoning it in. It's a shame, for such nice character models and renders to be paired with such a piss poor game.

The best part of the game is the good story and tons of rich scenes. Great renders.
I loved the music choices author used especially, the" smiling smiling little boy "song. It's soothing to hear
Cons: sudden scene transition. No proper scene fades out.

Overall, A good fap material. Game gives similar vibes as AWAM

This VN is basically just a porn collage.
Want some mom/stepson incest - check
How about mother/daughter lesbian incest - check.
Add in some best friend lesbian sex and throw in some futa sex to broaden your kink pallette.
The story feels like you are watching a taboo/kink porn at 8x fast forward. It doesn't feel like you are progressing in authentic relationships, it feels more like you are advancing through porn scenes.
The characters come across as very 2 dimensional and scripted.
I do like the quality renders, so that goes in the pros column.

I think there is maybe a decent story here. But it's too much of a porn cliche for an old fashioned loyal dedicated wife/mom to just one day decide to indulge in all of her sexual urges and fantasies.
For supposedly 10 years the MC's husband has been trying to get his wife to use a Free Pass after he was caught cheating on her. She adamantly rejects this Free pass proposal. Then one day she just says - fuck it, and decides to fuck everyone she comes in contact with.

[v1.19] I'll start by saying that I played this game ignoring all male-female content, but engaging in lesbian and trans scenes. Even with ignoring all the scenes with men, this game has plenty of good content at the moment. The story is good, characters are likable, there are several sexy scenes and kinky situations to get into. There's even some family play which I enjoy. I'm giving 4 stars because the animations aren't always great and could be more plentiful. I'm looking forward to seeing this story progress. Great work!

Amazing graphics, wonderful must say. Animation is great, perfect. I like story of the game, it's spicy and very interesting. Five stars I can't give only because i think it is going a bit to fast with some characters. Should low the tempo a bit in future updates with new characters (if there be any). Definitely this is in my top 5 games for now. Don't rush it.... Keep doing good job.

Sooo... I really enjoyed the first version of the game.

With this rework, I really like the renders, that I found better (Yoon is just beautiful!).

The problem, for me, is the story. I only care about straight sex, and for the moment, there are no scenes I really enjoyed. With the son, it just happend way too fast, and most of the time Yoon acts too slutty.

What I liked in first version was her shyness, and the fact she was slowly corrupted. In the rework, I don't see any corruption, and that's really disappointed.

Hope it will change in next updates with some new male characters coming in!

Renders are high quality. There is a good balance between teasing and sex scenes. Story/concept just the usual.
You can choose with which characters to engange and skip unwanted content. There is even a lesbian only mode.
I found the MC and her daughter only average looking, not particalarly exciting, but there are some really hot and orignal scenes with them. Some of the other characters are better looking. Overall I definitly can recommend this game.

Final update - down to 2 stars for the "Completed" Version.

Very good renders, completely horrible narrative, confused, unlikeable characters, horrible translations.

I had some conversations early on with the Dev and even tried to help out with some of the narratives. Many things didn't make sense and were completely out of place, response was mild, and she wanted to tell her story the way she wanted - which is fine. I gave up as the translations were not as english speakers would talk, and with no desire to change I didn't want to waste my time.

This story started as very Lesbian friendly/trans friendly and then expanding into straight sex. There are some selections that are not clear i.e. lesbian friendly on/off etc. The paths are not clear.

Largest problem I see is that as this started as a lesbian focused game it portrays straight sex partners completely unrealistically.

There is a definite lean towards lesbian being great, kind and nurturing. Men bad.

Fantastic renders, decent idea, horrible narrative and translations.

The renders and animations in this are some of the best I have seen. Main character MILF is hot. The story is ok. A few spelling/grammar errors but nothing that detracts too much. I've been following for a couple updates now and this really very great. Keep up the good work. My only gripes: tranny content warning should appear, too many weird buttons for filters to apply to the screen.

There is a song called 0 to 100 by Drake. and this game is quite definition of that but for very wrong reason.
In just one update, it went from 5 star to 1 star real quick.
Game was amazing but reboot literately killed it. Awful Awful Reboot. Maybe should have continue with older format because It was engaging.

Edit: Dev listens to his viewer is a good thing. Now maybe if older story continues then it is differently worth to play

Game that had potential but ruined it quickly.

Characters: Many different characters but many where just left behind or their routes did not make sense.

Renders/Sex Scenes: Good

Dialogue: Written okay, but some parts have voices instead of dialogue and that gets old fast

IMO After Choices is a top-tier developer. I love the writing and production of the story and how it unfolds. Lots of fun, a little drama here and there, multiple kinks and paths to follow, including a lesbian only path which I really appreciate.

To top it all off, the relationship building between Yoon and Michelle is by my favorite part. The models are beautiful and the writing has been excellent.

I'm hoping the dev will take their story to the finish line before moving on from this project. I say this because even though I'm a fan of the game, I haven't been following the thread. At the time of posting this review, the future of Free Pass may be in question and this amazing dev already has other projects on the cooker, so....I hope it doesn't get abandoned, or at the VERY MINIMUM, the Yoon/Michelle relationships gets the big payoff before leaving.

Anyway, I should have reviewed this long ago but I'm happy to do it now. Great game, great dev, lesbian only path, M/D (step-relationship unfortunately, but I'll take it!), BRAVO!

Positive things
Very handsome Asian female main character
Good character graphics
The story is solid enough
The gameplay is quite good with various choices


Negative things
Lack of sex scenes (more like an erotic visual novel)
Some female characters (mostly Caucasian) in my opinion are not so beautiful
There is also the point of view of the other characters frankly dev should focus only on the main one.

There was a bit too much push towards some characters and leaving others underdeveloped. Went a bit too wide with some side-stories too.

But leaving a game unfinished to start a new project leaves a sour taste. Best of luck on new project dev.

This game is interesting but also have big flaw.

Promising are:
- lesbian route seems numerous
- good visuals
- most girls are beautiful (i don't care at all for the men, I only like going men routes if they involve corruption and/or dominance from the woman in female protagonist games)
- sound
- you can turn off lesbian (why) or trans (i understand why when I see the level of detail the dev goes into. I would like to have trans, but not this level of detail of the trans process which do not really belong in a game)

Lacking points:
- the dev clearly has a thing for comic introduction of characters (a "baam" sound and 2D text on the screen). That feels like a 4th wall break unecessary.
- music is underwhelming
- sound seems a bit random/generic, there is no real identity
- plot. There was none then something came in and i was totally/mostly uninterested.
- secondary "intrigues/plots" are random things with both the feeling that they matter a lot, but also are "avoidable" so meaning it won't matter at all... and for one especially (mafia boss one) it feels like a comical thing as in "meet mafia boss, 1h later, become his bitch and has a tatoo. I reloaded another save from before because i'd like to become the bitch and get tatoo, but some setup/payoff would be better than this random event)
- too much characters with empty interest in them. I can avoid them, but i don't even read their generic names.
- some characters are not beautiful. i guess reality is this (not everyone can be beautiful) but damn, I play to have sexy girls, not real girls on screens...
- the plot is random and due to the dispersion given by the too many characters, is losing focus, and thus becoming uninteresting.
- I don't want to have multiple protagonists. Games with it tend to lack focus.
- I don't want to see scenes about secondary characters if MC is not involved somehow (peeping or participating). Having characters "tell" MC their love affair do not matter to me and make me lose a lot of interest in the game story.

I hope that the "lesbian route" become somewhat more convincing/profound because due to the setting it makes sense that MC had a real interest in girls from the start but never knew it, and just fall in love with her husband because of culture reasons.

Mostly good renders ruined by the writing, lack of contrasting text box, pacing, constant changes of perspective, lack of establishing shots, etc...
The writing in particular is so bad that at times it feels like Japanese machine-translated to English.
I got a headache reading this game / 10
