Sharecg is closing and this will probably be effective in a few days

Sharecg is the main daz freebie site, with many interesting assets, and this news is definitely terrible. :cry:

If you have bookmarked some interesting free assets at sharecg, it is time to DL them.

And if you don't know sharecg, you have a few days to try to find your happiness here.
Here are some must-see sharecg artists (IMHO), but I certainly forgot some. Do not hesitate to post other links.

Fortunately, as you pointed out, there's a bit of crossover with some of these freebies also being offered at other sites. But a number of these assets will not be transitioned to other sites, due to some of the creators either no longer being with us, or just not being interested anymore.

Between this and the recent loss/compromising of ps-ds.info and oldps.info (ublock.origin now blocks those site due to issues), a lot of digital assets have already or will soon disappear.

Sure, a number of these older assets are of lower quality, but some can still be very useful. And yes,, ps-ds.info and oldps.info were 'acquire by other means' sites, but had become the only way to get certain 'discontinued' assets.

So yeah, bummer all around.

At least with Shredder, someone might be able to convince him to move the other older assets over to Renderosity for archival purposes, or some other site. Same with a few other vendors, but for those that are no longer active, as amster22 noted, it might be worth spending some time digging through ShareCG now to grab stuff you may have missed before.

Actually there is a couple of warning messages when you try to acces the site

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Seems they have been tinkering with the php code of the site. Hope they fix it soon, tho I already downloaded most of the stuff I liked, lol

ShareCG has officially closed. After many years of service, the time has come for the platform to end. But RenderHub is here to support you as you continue your creative journey.
Can I still access my old content from ShareCG?
Unfortunately, the previous ShareCG website infrastructure is no longer available. The content from ShareCG has not been transferred.
I was a contributor on ShareCG. Can I upload my old work to RenderHub?
Yes! We welcome all former ShareCG contributors to upload your assets to RenderHub. Simply create a free account and start uploading. You'll have full control over your assets in their new home. For more information, go to
