I will say gotta give OppaiMan credit - he does seem to want to try to make this a good game. Hope they can speed up production and we'll see where the story goes - I'm still not a big fan of the significant involvement of so many sex workers in the storyline, though. No disrespect intended to those who like that stuff, I just find it distasteful.

you and me both. Because prostitution is a system that takes advantage of women by letting them sell their bodies. But some will argue it's a porno so it just works, words of Todd Howard. And not judging lol I just personally don't enjoy it.

If they had just continued to produce the same content they were already doing, I think this game could have turned out really well. Instead, they tried to fix what wasn't broken and ruined everything.

I mean, that's one way to look at it, but not the only way nor is it necessarily accurate. You could argue that outlawing prostitution means taking agency away from women who would otherwise prefer to be able to make money by selling sex.
The point you made seems like a better argument against pimping than it is against sex working in general.
If nobody is forcing women into sex work, who exactly is taking advantage of them?
Man, this was an amazing game at the beginning. I remember they released episode after episode with lot of content, lot of renders and it went very smooth, that's how they earned their name. Then, at the end of season 1, they started delaying a lot, saying they wanted to improve and work differently, as a company, so they will implement 4k, voices, tech, hire new people to get updates faster, and also will start a new game, start a new platform for other creators...and everything went down. I'm not saying season 2 is bad, is also amazing regarding animations to be honest, but now they are more foscused in so much tasks that the game went into the background. It's a shame.

Consent isn't dependent on whether someone is taken advantage of or not. People consent to being taken advantage of all the time, either in terrible relationships or through scams, or if they are ill-informed about the consequences.
I would argue a more accurate definition of "taking advantage" of someone is when one party has a net positive result at the cost of a net negative result for the other party.
So, then the question becomes, do the women who sell their bodies for sex have a net negative effect? Do they regret it later in life while their male patrons benefit at their cost?
Either way, there is an interesting conversation to have here.
