I'm sure it was described, but can anyone repeat it? What is the plan for this ep1 remaster? I'm up to date with every episode. Will I have to start playing with a new ep1? Is this just an option for willing and new players? Will the next episodes also get a remaster? Will future episodes work with both versions of ep1?

I look forward to more content with her if that's Neon's plan; she was great. You're going to have to start a whole new game when the remake releases, yes. As for later chapters, my understanding is that Neon plans to make a few minor changes, add a little more content, i.e. images, maybe new scene variations, etc. But, nothing that should require an entirely new game. One of the major things that's being redone in the chp. 1 remake is cleaning up all the code, and that includes code that affects later chapters, and that's the only reason why a new game is required for players. Future episodes definitely won't work with the old chapter 1 because the code will be different.

Chapter 1 remake is a remake of the old content. The next update is planned for June which will have further content. The rework will require you to start over since old saves will not work due to the changes that were made to the game mechanics in the rework.

Neon is in the process of integrating the new Chapter 1 into the rest of the game. It is out for the $15 and $5 Subscribstar members. It will be coming out for everyone else over the next few weeks, but there will be rolling updates of the rest of the chapters as they are finished.

With the remake, do we still have access to the dark path? I like having a contrast between Guy the philanthropist, and Guy the psychopath.

Yes, but you must be careful to download Friends in Need instead of Friends Indeed. The Patreon version, Friends Indeed, is sanitized to use a polite term for it.
Good to hear. I pretty much use only the Dark version as frankly, it's phenomenal. Not that many games out there with same themes. Would love to play more like that if anyone has recommendations.
For some reason, lot of the recommendation threads out there seemed to vanish for me.

Understandable! Shouldn't take too long. 1-6 have the code worked out (it was mainly changing Nicki variables, and tagging some stuff) and now I'm adding a little section that kinda serves to explain what happened after Nicki left, when Guy linked up with his photographer and actress friends, to become the more well-rounded Guy we meet at the beginning of Chapter 2.I'm tempted to play it, but i will probably wait until other chapters are incorporated into the remake.
