Yeswait.... is mason a guy or a girl
Hey, do me a kindness and don’t spoil things I put out in the sneak peeks.spoilersss
If that is really a spoiler you may want to edit your post too NeonGhosts.Hey, do me a kindness and don’t spoil things I put out in the sneak peeks.
Everybody has a butthole. So where there is a will, there's a way.Don't care he/she/they is gonna take the D.
Wait what? I mean it might just be that I know a lot of queer people but I thought it was pretty clearly telegraphed that Mason is a trans man. Like, in the story way before this next update coming out I meanHey, do me a kindness and don’t spoil things I put out in the sneak peeks.
Not going to lie, i did not saw that coming. This was a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.Wait what? I didn't get it. I notice some more "feminine" facial features but I just assumed this was a stylistic choiceWait what? Why would that be obvious ?Wait what? I mean it might just be that I know a lot of queer people but I thought it was pretty clearly telegraphed that Mason is a trans man. Like, in the story way before this next update coming out I mean
I’ve tiptoed around the Mason question when people ask, because I’d just rather people find the answer in the game. Even if it's not terribly important, or the answer is obvious. I do my best to avoid cheap cliffhangers and dramatic shock reveals, trying to make it all flow naturally from what's come before. So, while none of it's designed to be hard to figure out, I still don't just want to give it away.Wait what? For me I saw a lot of hints toward Mason being trans. As RC said it seemed, to me, like Mason was kicked out of his home because his parents didn't accept him for who he is. I saw a lot of parallels between him and very real situations that happen all the time in real life. He presents male with some pretty obviously feminine features, is homeless, and wears baggy clothes to try to hide said feminine features. Why would that be obvious ?
Mason is homeless and sleeps on the streets. So my natural train of thought was that she wants to hide being a girl because she doesn't want to be abused/raped...never thought about trans or not in this scenario and her wanting to treated as a man doesn't seems like a priority in her situation.
That's why they are called spoilers. They ruin that little moment of joy that happens in the story when a burning question is answered. Now its another thing if you are just putting it fourth as a theory, like folks that think that Cassie is a lesbian because she has such an *ahem* close friend but if it is something that you know instead of something that you think that is what the inline spoilers andI’ve tiptoed around the Mason question when people ask, because I’d just rather people find the answer in the game. It's the same reason I've avoided saying exactly when Cassie will show up, or what the secret of Ashe's photograph is. I'll get to the answer soon enough, but I'd like people to be a little surprised, even if they think they know the answer.
I'd say you do a very good job of accomplishing this. I know it's been said in the thread already but this is genuinely one of the best written games I've played. Like, I generally like playing the dark path in games (and trust me when I say the dark path in this game is very hot), but you present the story in ways that it feels genuinely more rewarding to me to pick the good path cause you make it feel like we're having an actual impact with our choices to help people, and you do it without us needing to be a fucking pushover to be a good person in this game.I do my best to avoid cheap cliffhangers and dramatic shock reveals, trying to make it all flow naturally from what's come before. But what about the biggest secret, as when is the next update out, can you reveal that one?I’ve tiptoed around the Mason question when people ask, because I’d just rather people find the answer in the game. Oh, oh, I know this one. NeonGhosts revealed it in secret but I feel that people need to know. Sorry for betraying the trust. But what about the biggest secret, as when is the next update out, can you reveal that one?
