I think the way I would do it is to have a section in the main menu, like a gallery but for the stories that would be unlocked when the player gets far enough into the game. It's fun seeing that little popup in the top left telling you you've unlocked something.
Not a bad idea but I would prefer that content integrated into the main story for immersion.
+1 to having it as extra content available in the menu, or even unlocked in game at certain points or by clicking on things if you want to make it more interactive and have more people go and check it out to see what they've unlocked.
It can be very profitable. Although there's more on there now it's definitely a place creators should not ignore.
You get two weeks or two hours for a refund. If a developer stops working on a game valve will not refund you.
It does if the game is in early access. Which is the reason why most game are releasing in seasons lol.
I've seen some people say they prefer to purchase a game on Steam rather than donate through Patreon to support a VN. I think it comes down to a simple transaction for a product vs. a continuous stream of donations to a creator. It's a different mindset and in that mindset, Steam is just more cost-effective while still monetarily supporting the creator.

I don't know if there's a translation error or what going on, but you keep misunderstanding my point or telling me what I already know. Taboo patch adds age selection for a few characters -> he's removing this option from the taboo patch -> I don't want him to remove it. That's all, really.
Ah ok, nice compromise then! Although still a little unfortunate. I'm guessing these dark and risque games stir a constant wrestle between public perception, artistic integrity, and satisfying kinks or w/e, and I get why this particular option has gotten the execution order and why it's not a hill you've chosen to die on (though am honestly confused as to why people can tolerate virtual grape, yet virtual age selection is too far). I just hope other optional things don't get removed too at some point if enough people end up voicing their dislike
I'll always support the big picture, though! I trust you've decided this is better for your game long-term and game's too good to get weighed down by ultimately minor stuff.
