Fun Fact: Back when I thought I'd have enough time to continue doing short one-off games ala The Student Loan, I did a poll to see what I should do next, with four options. The winner was Orc Exchange, which would take place in a fantasy world where humans and orcs have been at peace for some thirty years, and both cultures are trying to build diplomatic ties. As part of these attempts, the player (a human) would host an orc girl at his home. I envisioned a game where the player could be benevolent, or a bit of a dick. Over time, these new relations between the orcs and humans would begin to deteriorate, with war looming on the horizon. At this point, the player would have the choice to protect his charge, or give in to the populist urge to demonize someone different.
I still think it'd be a fun idea, but I think I'd want to approach the gameplay mechanics a little differently than a straightforward Renpy visual novel. Recently I was kicking the idea around again, and started to think it'd be fun to do it as an isekai story, where Brent gets hit by a truck or something, only to wake up in this fantasy world that he doesn't understand, and is ill-prepared for.
All that said, I also posted about an idea I have for a game featuring Blizzy as the title character, which would basically allow the player to act selfless or selfish, as Blizzy tried to rebuild his reputation after he's cancelled, following a lapse in judgment.
