You know, right at the top of FiN there's a big disclaimer saying certain kinks and fetishes are fun to explore in a fictional setting, but you should never drag them into the real world. And yet, time and again I see my work used as an excuse to denigrate the mental health and personhood of actual trans people.

So, when I make my next game, don't be surprised if I don't give you the option to be an asshole, because I'm frankly tired of feeling like I'm adding fuel to the fire of shitty opinions.
I think if people are passionate, it means you've crafted a compelling story, it would be a shame to kneecap yourself because of something as transitory as politics.

Nah it's not that odd at all. There are trans guys who are feminine as well as trans girls who are butch/masc. The interesting thing is that being gender non conforming can cause some trans people to question if they're really trans.

For Mason I could see him presenting either way. It seems like he's comfortable presenting feminine but I'm curious how much is do to him just enjoying feminine things or if it's due to trying to appeal to the mc.or how much is it due to what he had to do to survive on the streets.
I can see him liking the femboy look considering the way he acts around good Guy, but anything further than that i think is simply Mason trying to survive as a homeless sex worker, who needs to eat and avoid being a victim of some hate crime in a dark alley.

The issue is the inability to understand the meaning to choose. And maybe it is good to give those a mindfull lesson about it. The one that chooses is the one who has to take responsibility of the outcome, not external circumstance one made conviniently responsible when the outcome is as shocking as it might be.

Edit: Thats why I love your project!

what do you mean "drag them into real world"? last time I checked internet debates werent real world.
not to say you've made content with underage stuff, rape and also what looks like borderline snuff movie with Ashe, I dont think you have moral high ground over stuff people wrote here. chill
i saw some threads whit much darker content and still pretty nice , its the moderation , also f95zone has a rule of no politics / no out of topic...

Wait a minute, you put in game something that is considered controversial by many and you are surprised by the fact that this generates discussion and exchange of opinions? Strange

Conversations on the internet involve real people.

AVNs don't.

If you don't understand that distinction, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

Anyhow, I'm really sympathetic to a dev being tired of people using his morally gray work to try to justify shitty real world behavior. I see it way too often with darker porn games. FiN is one of the few that really knows how to walk that line, but clearly not all FiN players have figured it out yet.

So it's his own fault?
To be fair, you include an incredibly debated and divisive (and oft political) character into something...expect it create discussion. So in a way, yes, it is. You can't include said content and then be annoyed it creates something you knew it would create (especially on the randomness and anonymity of a medium such as the internet).

Yeah, sure. But I think that speaks more of ignorance than fault, fault implies he did something wrong. He should have known better, etc. Which in my eyes is just a fallacy.

Besides he's not throwing a hissy fit about it, or dictating how the playerbase should feel about the subject matter. Just that he doesn't like that people use his fictional story as a a vehicle for their own beliefs. Which I think he's allowed to do, and think.

The internet isn't part of the real world? Are you saying this is all a simulation and everyone here but me is a bot then? Interesting...
Furthermore just because Neon is creating a story that involves darker content so people can experience stuff like that in a fictional way doesn't mean he endorses that stuff IRL, unless you believe for example the creator of the TV show Dexter to approve of serial killers. There's a difference between liking darker content in fiction and actually holding those beliefs when it comes to real-life situations, and I hope most people here know where that line is.

my man Im literally laughing my ass off rn. first he says internet is not the part of real world, but when it comes to his all time favourite porn game creator "There's a difference between liking darker content in fiction and actually holding those beliefs when it comes to real-life situations". so, when people discuss something that wasnt done by them, and they have no connection too, in certain way, they drag this into real world, when author creates something for everyone to explore, there is a difference, he is not holding such beliefs and means no harm. you should take entire olympics pedestal with gymnastics like these.
but next, what "this is all" you are talking about? what simulation? to say that what happens on the internet doesnt necessarily means it affects reality you dont need to imagine simulations. and how about that: Neon said he wrote Viola over his Russian friend, and Mason over person he knows from rl too. so what, does that means he endorses raping innocent Russian girls or real trans people?
like holy fuck, people doesnt discuss something that isnt already there, this is not that hard to comprehend. furthermore, discussing something doesnt tell us anything about how they will react over it in real life. idk why ya all try to guilt trip some people over their opinions.

I don't know, I try to just understand and accept people's different views as best I can and move on, hoping their intentions are well-meaning even if misguided because we've all been there at some point and maybe eventually come around.

But ultimately, this is a porn game site where people come to jerk their gherkin or just tickle their brain with engaging sexual fiction. This is not the hub for changing people's minds or what not, and no amount of argument is going to change most people's minds here anyways I don't think, so it's moot; there are simply many many other relevant places on the internet to argue about these topics.

So while sharing your personal views is gratifying, for me too of course hence this comment, and thus very addicting and hard to resist.. it also just creates needless bickering that probably pushes away lurkers who don't want to be reminded of tired real-life politics debate that's made its lap back here for nth time again, same players, same stances, nothing's changed so why bother? We look like AI caught in a loop lol

And it just distracts us from talking about more pleasant thread-relevant things like when will we get to put it in Gabby's butt, which is my own personal example of things I'd rather talk about here :geek:

That being said, since we're changing the subject I have a question: was Neon supposed to take a vacation after this release of update or after Chapter 1 was rewritten?
Personally, I hope that after this update, because I have hopes that reworking chapter 1 will be magnificent and I think we all know that a rested person works more efficiently and has more ideas

Commenting is indeed very addicting I agree there.

Also, you can have Gabby I'm not her biggest fan. You can have Madison too.

But you can't have Mason, Nicki, Britt and Pepper they are my soulmates, and we are going to live together, and I'll watch them have lots of sex.
