I'm of two minds: it's a smutty game, and having the MC checking out his coworker's shapeless butt, doesn't really scream 'sex appeal.'
Don't worry, since it's a smutty game then it also means it's being played by perverts. You could have Nicki bent over there in a nun outfit, and some would still rub off to it :sneaky:

A wee bit more seriously, that thing is far from shapeless, and having some coverage is perfectly fine. Imagining what's under can be very well part of the fun.

Hey hey, folks! Hope you're all doing well this week!
I continue to work on building out the sets I need for the revised Chapter 1 script, including the new and improved convenience store setting. This one's a little annoying, due to some of the textures and surfaces involved. Lots of chrome, lots of glass, lots of gloss, lots of light sources.. All of that means longer render times. Plus, the giant windows mean that I can't hide the exteriors too much, so that's even more assets crammed into the scene. This meant I needed to sit and tweak some stuff for a while, trying to optimize everything, without sacrificing quality. I ultimately got something I'm pretty happy with, which only takes a little longer than my usual render times.
Besides that, there's still not much to report. The script is coming along well, and I only need to do one more small set, and a few costumes for some characters, to have all the assets that I need.
Up top, you'll see some test renders from the convenience store set -- including a close-up of one of Nicki's best assets. I'm not super happy with that butt-shot, so I'll need to work on it a bit more, when it's time to do the real thing. The problem I ran into with that angle, is that Nicki's pants aren't exactly super flattering to her butt..

-snip-

Until next time, take care of yourselves -- and thank you for your support!
NeonGhosts I really dislike all the convenience store assets available and what you have isn't great. There should be an end cap on that row of shelves. Valuable floor space wasted. There is no signage around the checkout, or racks of impulse buy goods in front of the counter. Where are the cigarettes, small cigars and chewing tobacco behind the counter? The rows are too far apart. The uniform pants should be even more shapeless and baggy, not tighter. The uniform is not meant to be flattering, here it is designed to be humiliating and degrading. Put some signage on the windows and you won't have to worry as much about what is outside. Put racks with the newspapers or magazines there, or maybe the lottery ticket machine and an ATM. I can't tell how big the coffee area is, but that is a major area filler, with multiple flavors in carafes and a whole area for sweeteners and whiteners. I can't tell if the door area has the height measurement markings on it, definitely need it to tell the cops how tall the guy who just robbed the store was, like you would remember that. Where are the very not hidden cameras? You want your patrons to know they are being watched wherever they go in the store. You could blow off that whole windowed wall, certainly don't need floor to ceiling windows with dormers on top, you could have a counter high wall for more stuff and half height windows.

I spent way too much time in my youth working at a convenience store with a gas station on the overnight shift. Do you know we have been in the end of days since the early 1980's? At least that's what I was told when the nutcases would come in early Sunday morning to get all caffeinated before going out to preach door to door.

I'm glad we won't be spending much time there in chapter 1 so I will let all the above slide, but if you ever make a game centered around a convenience store, you will really have to up your game.
