Just downloaded this. Is the patch download still needed for the regular (non-vanilla) version or is that one pre-patched?

IIRC you'll still need it to enable the third, "dark" set of choices.
How "dark" are we talking? If its just violence/extreme s&m etc. i'll give it a pass, but if its anything else I'd like at least some idea on what I'd be missing out on.

I mean.. I dunno man, the rape scenes are pretty damn dark. Nothing too "light" about those.

Yeah, i gave it like one try and just couldn't get through Ashe's scene. And there's some screens of early Nicki content that... well let's just say ensure i'm not going to check those options out.

Yeah, they are pretty dark, i tried dark play through but i couldn't finish it, playing good Guy since then.
I played more violent games than this, but rape in this game hits me a lot harder, probably because writing is really good in those scenes.
It's not even violence. The emotional abuse aspect is fucked up enough.

Same I can't watch the Dark path scenes it's too dark for me. I only play that patch with heavy use of ctrl skip just because I do want to see what happens by reading the dialogue for context and hope the MC gets killed or something eventually. But I skip anything involving a sex scene on that path

You know what I find odd / funny for me. I actually kind of like the Ashe path if you play the dark path the first time you meet her. Because then I play the date in such an odd way. I use the drugs on her but I don't even have sex with her and she is so confused when I tell her the next day. It's just makes it interesting to me almost like it's a redemption path for the MC even tho there is nothing he can do to make rape forgivable imo.

Yeah, especially his goading about "romantic night under the stars" and "fairy-tale evening", while raping her, it is a disturbing scene.

It truly is and it's a testament to how well written that scene is considering that I'm not a squeamish individual and I can watch a lot of fucked up shit and not react much, but that scene just hits way different with how messed up it's written.

The only thing locked behind the patch that I miss is Ashe's incest role-playing; currently, the only option is to refuse it.Mason loves to be affectionately spit in his mouth..

I know about Patreon's rules against incest, but it's only role-play, so there shouldn't be any reason to lock it behind a patch.

Same goes for Britt as well. Honestly I find roleplay incest much better and hotter than most incest games ive played tho might be cause im not super into incest games that often.
i don't suppose there's any other download for the patch? For some reason Nord's web protection is flagging the download link. Probably a false positive but I don't know if I want to take that risk.

The taboo patch? It is already included in the game, just open it (patch.rpy) with any text editor (like notepad) and change it from false to true.
