The save game naming patch is causing an error when I start the new version of the game. Instead of the main menu screen, I get an error message. If I hit ignore, it starts a new game, and it is easy enough to get to the loading screen, so it's not a particularly critical error, but it is an aesthetic annoyance.
Subjective I know, but personally, it seems clearer and clearer to me as I play that the point of this game is the opposite; to watch wounded characters heal, to basically have Satan (aka Neon
sorry buddy ) tempt you with terrible things, or just simply mean things, and to say 'back to the pit with you!' as you proudly select the most 
I think Gabby is the only one I don't want to do anything lewd with but she is a good character for sure. Probably 2nd best to me or tied with Ashe not sure. Tho I have a feeling once Penny gets more character updates she might be up there for me as well. Tho really there is something to like about all the girls here for me they don't feel super simple or generic like other LI I wanted to like more in other AVN games, at least to me.Three words, Gabby and Ashe
I didn't even know about the true dark stuff my first time since I didn't know about said patch. But after exploring it it's a interesting way to playthrough once. I don't know if id do it first tho cause I think the minute a new update comes I would want to explore more of the Nicki romance. Tho id be lying if I didn't say it would be tempting to try it first just see what else crumbles just to end on a positive note.I feel like the thing that really keeps you coming back is the catharsis of watching people help each other and grow deep, meaningful relationships; actually, that catharsis is even more impactful once you see just how bad things could be and is why I try to play dark route before nicer routes. Feels like a warm blanket

I agree with you on that tho even so id only be friends with Gabby. Funny enough the LI I'm attracted to most is the one I didnt think was hot at first since im not into short hair. that would be Nicki. Only difference I noticed is normal version requires a patch for the true dark path options and cant be applies to vanilla. Tho both versions have a light dark path it seems to me I like to call this the dick path where you're just a dick .I believe you can still get some of the bad outcomes with just being a dick just probably not to the extreme like if you were on the dark path but im not 100% sure on that.

I could not agree more the characters is what makes this game so good not the overall plot I heard that Nicki removal mod was a joke / troll not sure if that is true or not but i refuse to try it out as I'm on Team Nicki she is easily the best character for me.
It is so hard to write good characters, it is even harder to write great dialogues for them but it is almost impossible for 99% of the games here to put it all together to make you feel it is not forced. That is the way you can recognize who is really good at it (making VNs) and who is not, you just need to have "that thing". Talent, tons of empathy to actually be able to identify as character? You call it but yeah, not an easy task for sure.
I'll have to play it, just to see the dialog. It doesn't invalidate my idea, but it would be the closest Nicki gets to being 100 percent honest about why she's there. Thanks!
If you enjoy games where the MC has a lot of power over a number of women, this hits the mark strongly. It's not really a Harem game, so much as he gets a shot at almost every woman he meets. Also, there is a patch that allows for significantly darker content. If you like dark content, that's a must.
I wouldn't say she's 100% honest about it. She still tries to frame it around Brent but there's a very overt disparity between Brent's plan and Nicki's actions.
