I dropped this game so fast, from the very first choices, the dev didn't give us any choices at all, we simply were forced to give her and her boyfriend money, you can say she somehow blackmailed MC knowing he's a good person and would agree to help them, it just the [how] to give her the cash, either out of kindness or straight rape her, to me this is simply bullshit , if we had the choice to say yes or no to giving them money, perhaps I would have given this game a chance,
and if the dev did this on the very first important choice of the game which is supposed to hook us the players to their game, I imagine the rest of will be the same,
I know many will disagree with me, but this is my opinion.

The start was way too dense. I know from the description of the game that the man was poor then boom and he's rich. I don't need to read again the same thing I just red in the description but now ingame for half hour.
But after that weight is dropped from the way, the game just keeps getting better and better.
MC can be totally nice and friendly or can be a serial rapist, you decide. The writer planned every encounter with the girls for both paths very nicely.
Waiting for more updates from this game.

Hands down to one of the best porn games on this site! The game has a rough start, the model faces look a bit odd but you can tell the dev is getting better day by day because the girls later on just look amazing with really smooth expressions and sex scenes. There are also a lot of paths to explore from love, corrupting or even raping, and the details of each path is top-notch. I hope that the author wouldn't scatter over too many girls and only focus on stories of the main ones.

I was very, very surprised at how much I enjoyed the game's writing. Models are great and varied, posing is fine, but animation is non-existent for those who care a lot about that.

But the writing is where things really shine. The girls are all multilayered, dimensional and just not what they seem at first. They have their quirks, secrets and flaws, even if some are unexplored as of now. Really enjoying it and I can't recommend this enough.

I enjoy the romance paths more, but the rougher stuff is interesting as well, but if there was no choice, this def wouldn't be a game for me. But since there is, and its well implemented, loving it.

Beware, its still early, relatively, and maybe things will go off the rails later. But so far, great ride.

The game was so good that I managed to play it in one sitting until the end. The game offers a good amount of choices, and you can play either as a good guy or a really sadistic guy. Personally, I played as a good guy. The graphics were okay and improved as the game progressed. I'm eagerly looking forward to the new update!

a genuinely well written game, with an engaging story that you dont wanna skip through, a multitude of different choices and paths, that directly change how the game pans out, and how those around you react to you. you can either be decent and honorable, or be a dark minded R*pist with a sadistic mindset. i went 90percent good path, andf it fit very well. very indepth and interesting characters you come across with their own sets of stories. not once did i feel like button mashing to getting to the lewd scenes either. a genuinely decent fun game, and this will be on my watch list.

the lewd scenes are alright. one-few scenes are decently animated, then you mostly either get none animated (but with art to update as the scenes does, or robotic animations) now thats the only flaw, if this had smooth and detailed animations, which i know this engine is capable of, then it would be a full 5 stars.

wishlist: Femboys/traps. male-female trans individuals you can lewd. there is one trans person, a female-male, which is unique as you dont often see that in games, decent character too. however i would like abit more variety in character models, than just female partners. even trans females. decent animations, more anal/ass content.

but other than that. decent game, pick it up.

Friends in Needs is a great game that has so much content and all of it feels like its a main story. NeonGhosts is able to make so many potential paths but none feel like they are just there to fill a gap or make pointless content as a filler. The story development is great and he has written characters in a way that some have a cult following and some have hardcore haters... I feel like that is proof of a well written story/character, being was able to create something that creates strong emotions in both directions. I cannot wait to enjoy this scenic road Neon is taking us on.

I never imagined I'd be so absorbed in this story like I am right now.
The Premise frankly didn't seem all that interesting, and I wasn't in it for the quick fix, so my expectations were low.
But Lets just say, this game simply blew me away. Rarely I've seen adult games have SO MUCH DEPTH in their characters, having Real choices and yet also having a protagonist to root for.
The story develops with the plot the more you get to know these characters, and through the visuals are lovely, its that inner depth that really makes one feel connected to the story.
The Story is naughty when it needs to be, but it doesn't just rely on that, you can feel just as good being friendly to someone.
I really hope the devs continue to do this justice and continues in a slow burn pace to really explore character relationships. I'm simply blown away by this. Excellent! Also, Nicki's the best.

the relation with nicki is too real and too close to home, i spent more time feeling depressed than horny.

but it's a good story with well written character that just make you want to keep playing to know what's gonna happen next

Found it and loved it.
I'm always a fan when you can go completely nuts and you aren't forced into a certain path, or even worse a game over.
I like it kinky and I like it hard, and here you can really go all out. Either way, if you rape the shit out of them or if you play it romanticaly, the writing and the characters are both great.
And the scenes are different enough that it really is worth it to replay this more than once.

I can't say mutch about the update cycle, but I hope this game will go on for some time more, and I can't wait to went back to it in a few month.

It´s pretty good, was way better than I expected.

The sex scenes can be romantic or very moletsty orjust rape you can be very evil in this game, that is the way I played always the worst and most evil decisions, I had a very good time.

The scenes have no animations sadly, I would probably give it 4 stars if they had.

The characters look all good and have personality, some don´t have enough content yet sadly but I like that everyone feels different. I like Gabby who I felt mostly sorry, Ashe she was really realistictly traumastiesd , at first I didn´t like here but the end of this version where you find out where she lives and then go to her and force her to follow you to come with you infront of her parents and while she is afraid is really good. Nicki is not as bad as people say and I can´tn understand people saying they wish they could just tell her to fuck off, I mean I tried to be the worst character but even I wouldn´t want to chose that but I guess mostpeople don´t want to help others , I can understand why people don´t like her but they are too unforgiving. There were a lot of other characters but I won´t mention them, the last I will talk about is Mason a trans boy, a girl who identifies as a boy you don´t really see that much in porn games mostly it´s identiefieng as girls so I really like that. His personality is just very cute, he is probably my favorite character, when the blowjob scene with hime came I tried as always do pick the most evil choices and one was to call him a her and make hime wear a wig and I just couldn´t be this mean so I chose for the first time the nice options in the end he asks if he can cuddle with you I mean it´s really hard to pick no.


I hope the next updates will be as good and when it´s finished I think it can be a very good game, atleast for the dark fantasy I can´t say much about the romance route.

Friends in Need [v0.39] played through and immediately one of my top/favorite VNs, ever. Why? you ask...

+ The writing knows no peer, as far as VNs go.
We have a large cast of characters and they have similar backgrounds (similar in that they are characters in need), but the delivery is handled through different, realistic situations.

+ I love a variety of renders/models.
I'm not a fan of 90% of characters being big tit, big booty bodies with the only different being hair/eye color. Rather I love the realism of varity . These models are more ralistic and have a lot of different body shapes and sizes. I especially love the slim, petite, tight body of Gabby and how different her body is to a MILF like Madison.

+ MC is likeable in a way different from other VNs, simply for the fact that he's a philanthropist.

+ You do have a couple of different ways to react to the love interests: the 'kind' way and the 'rough' way.

-- My only complaint about the VN is you can be a total asshole if you choose at certain paths but the story will come back around to the main storyline to allow the story moves forward. In other words it seems the choices you make do make a difference...temporarily...but eventually don't matter as the story continues regardless of those choices.

-- One more minor complaint...the renders for Nikki in the opening scenes when she's on the couch talking with the MC are wrong.
Her face in half the stills, have her features distorted like an amusement park mirror. It's just bad rendering. But once I got past it, it didn't seem to happen again with any of the characters.

+ The Brittani roleplay during the photoshoot is a great, fresh way to do a photo shoot in a VN. I cannot remember any other VN doing a photo shoot (many, many have them) that way before.

Well worth checking out.

Every character has amazing depth. The models are also very realistic. Honestly its the most realistic, down-to-earth games that is fun, engaging, and can fulfill a lot of fantasies. hoping to see content with some of the LIs" moms.

I think this is an excellent game overall.

The story is quite concentrated to the point it feels rushed but considering it would take a lot of effort to make the story longer and would delay the releases and story progression, I think it is a perfectly good compromise. There is so much a one person/small team can do.

One thing I really think could be improved is to make sure not all (abusable) characters are perfectly likable people in very difficult situations. I really wanted a not completely asshole character with some blackmail/exploitation and it really is difficult not to be complete asshole if all the characters are like innocent wounded puppies.

The game is a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the characters are interesting and unique, while others are redundant and boring. Some of the women are beautiful, while others are bland. Some scenes are well written with lots of choices, others are frustratingly awful.

You can make some drastically different choices on how to treat the women in the game, but then you are forced back onto the main path which often doesn't fit with the choices you just made. It can be very difficult to care about the characters because of how ridiculous they are. The main character is forced to act like a brainless stereotype in several scenes, and the girl with the most screentime is painfully stupid.

All thing considered, it's a clear case of quantity over quality. Everything is stretched too thin from having too many characters and too many different fetishes to focus on building proper paths for anyone, let alone everyone.

This was a very enjoyable game, the choices matter, and the characters are actually likeable. I played it more times - once being the good guy, and the other time as the bad guy, or, essentially, a total douchebag. Although a combination of the two is also possible. I think that both are quite believable in terms of the dialogue and the characterization. I like the fact that not every female character immediately jumps onto MC. Plus, the dark topics are very well written, I've noticed that some devs avoid these types of things sometimes.
Also, the female characters are varied, IMO, some are better looking, while others didn't really attract my attention.

The backstory isn't really inspired, but the played section makes great use of it. The characters are pretty well designed. Choices have a big impact on which part of the scenes you can experience, so make sure to complete as you first would like to, and then start again using the skip (ctrl) key to fast forward through to the un-experienced content. Fetishes are great and they are what the tags are.

The best writing in any porn vn I've ever played. I can't overstate how well written this is.

I'm usually into the harder/rougher routes in these kinds of games because they are generally more interesting. This game made me go the opposite direction. The love interests are too well written. They all feel like real people. When a character is written well, you want them to be happy, you want them to succeed.

There is light path and a dark path in this game. I consider the light path to be cannon, and the dark path to be something going on only in the main character's head.

I really can't overstate how well written I think this game is. Everything is perfect.

The only thing I worry about is having too many love interests. But right now, I think it is fine. I care about every character.

To be honest, Friends in Need has surprised me a lot, in the best ways possible. I played v 0.39 and the first thing that got me is the writing on the game, it's way above what's usual in the genre and it makes you care about the characters. And the characters are great as well, each with their own personalities and projects, goals and such. It's mostly a slow burn with some exeptions, though, so don't expect to be fapping to it all the time as it takes its time to develop its story, characters, plot and make you feel immersed in it. If you want an optimal route you might want to play with the walkthrough because, though most of the times the consequences of the choices are rather clear, that is not always the case.

Render quality is pretty high, though there are a large number of childish characters which is something I'm not into. Animations are decent, but not the greatest around. Music does its job well and I haven't found any bugs or continuity issues in my playthrough.

So, all in all, a very recommendable game, surely worth your time if you're looking for something more than the generic quick fap game.
