Alright, well. I've taken a very long break from actually playing any VNs. If anything's going to bring me back at this point, it's going to be Friends in Need. So I'm diving in.

What I don't understand is why her dad doesn't want Guy fraternizing with her. It's like, "Come on. You've already given up on her. Such an asshole!"

nah im more into romantic side of things just unlike Joshy no cummy kisses. I wouldn't really say I simp for anyone in this game tbh, im just a bit more vocal about my favorites here especially Risa and Nicki. Now the ones I do simp for I don't think ive seen you on those threads yet cause I do for sure have some characters that suck compared to others but I like them more than the rest so I simp hard for them and cant give a good reason why I like them. In this game my top 3 I like all about the same for different reasons.

That variable was defined at the beginning of this latest chapter, so something went wrong for you there. Find a save to BEFORE chp 9 (end of chapter 8 would be perfect, for example) and continue from there and it should work.

Alternatively, if you have URM, just load to before this scene and set the variable manually to false, which is the default. I'd recommend restarting from end of chp 8, though, because lots of stuff get defined at the beginning of each chapter and it's important that isn't disrupted to avoid bugs like this.

I think it'd be a nice way to explore some darker kinks without, ya know.. being brutal to the characters in the game. I guess Brit kinda already did that when she roleplayed as MC's sister, but, I guess maybe I was thinking a little further and more involved than that?

I'm honestly not sure then. Seems it should've defined the variable. Did you play the chp 9 beta here when it was released? And then continue with the full release? Maybe that fucked something?

Either way, if you can find an even earlier save in chp 8, maybe you should try that and see if it works. Shouldn't take too long with skipping. The chp begins right after Ashe's date and ends in Lucien's drug den.

If that doesn't work either, consider manually fixing the variable with URM mod or restarting altogether. Sorry.

Did you play the test version and make a save? If so, your saves are borked. There were enough warnings in the thread not to save anything in that version.

I could see doing something like this in a between-updates update. A little thing that doesn't really advance the plot, but is still some fun relationship interplay between two characters. I could see Ashe or Brittani being into it. Or maybe a dark horse pick like Carolina or Alex, who want to give up their sense of control and enjoy being ravished.

The only annoyance is that I'm pretty sure even non-con play is verboten on Patreon, so I'd have to construct a similar-but-different setup with the same characters, to make sure I could update all platforms with something. Which wouldn't necessarily be a big deal. Lots of roleplay scenarios out there to choose from.

damn im not usually a fan of pigtails on women but damn she looks so good with that look hope that she goes with that look in the next update for her character. Honestly if the conversation didn't mention Ashe I would think it's a different character entirely don't even recognize her with that look in these 2 renders.

The non-con would be fine on patreon as long as there was explicit dialogue beforehand, even perhaps as an update before, ("if I'm wearing such a shirt, I consent" etc...which is common in real D/S non-con play). It's the explicit consent required between characters beforehand that Patreon want. Once that given, then the afterwards is more or less ok.

Yeah Idk about that, Patreon is very anal about anything making waves and scaring visa and mastercard.
Better safe than sorry imo.
