Yes, because people are creating their own content instead of waiting for another artist to either scam them or burn out. There are a half dozen creators that come to mind that were making great games just to abandon them, and three that I used to fund on patreon before I realised they were basically scammers, taking money and giving nothing in return. At least the AI content is consistent and reliable.

On this particular point, no, it isn't bad for the environment any more than anything else that runs on electricity, just like the PC you're using to clutch at your pearls. Given humans are not going to give up electricity, the solution is to find more environmentally friendly ways to generate power, not stop using AI.

Go glue your hand to a street somewhere, you'd be better at that.

It's not about how much power it uses, it's that it uses power at all. If AI used 100% wind power only, for instance, you wouldn't have an argument. So if you're going to complain that AI uses more power than a PC, then I can complain that your PC uses more power than my phone. See how stupid that is?

Yeah, if you care about lives (the environment), TNT will kill you (harm the environment) just as assuredly as a nuke. In fact, given the reluctance to use nukes and how tightly controlled they are, you're more likely to die from TNT than a nuke. Which is the point: you can't complain about AI using more electricity when powering your home uses just as much power, if not more.

The difference is that electricity can be generated without harming the environment, so instead of bitching about that, go support eco-friendly energy initiatives.

You are substituting concepts by comparing atomic fission and a chemical reaction. In the case of a computer, there is no such difference. The video card works for its intended purpose, just like in video games.
