The developer is still alive, he’s just had a hard time finding a steady work rhythm. After the 0.1 update he released a side story for PC and Android, which you can request through the Discord

Side story? Wouldn't it be more efficient to complete the first work before moving on to other projects?
As an animator, I know the feeling of wanting to do all your dream projects but spreading out too thin is a high risk
Don’t worry, it’s a story that goes hand-in-hand with the main plot of the game. It’s a small side story that served as a good foundation to export the game to Android, it was easier to do that than exporting the main game because it required fewer programming changes

Anyone else getting "all content complete" then getting told to go to the school's third floor at noon, but when you get there, you get a black screen, the classroom button (nothing to do there) the Japanese room, you can enter but again nothing to do. Because the stairwell is black, you can't get back downstairs. You're locked into the third floor.
