Hi, is there any news about an update? When will it be and what character are the developers currently working on? And most importantly, will that goth chick from the bar ever get her own path?
Just look at their patreon even without paying you will get the general idea. Other than that their work ethic is quite terrible 2 updates a year is already a lot and they are most of the time not really big. I don´t know how many people work on it but even one dedicated person with a good work ethic would normally be able to do far more than that. It´s a shame because especially the art style has lots of potential but it is what it is.
I feel like everyone just stopped waiting for this game, they kinda deserve it tbh, we went from monthly updates to every 3 months to just 2 update in a whole year and they were very thin.

I think it is barely worth following the pirate thread. Last update worth pirating was Wallis part 1.
I feel the developers just want to stop, but the Patreon money for doing almost nothing is still too good.
Best case scenario is Renee route not being as bad as Wallis 2, and that is it, but I am not holding my breath.
Will not be surprised if the Renee route is never released or is incredibly half assed
I have no ill will towards them, but I have no expectations at all.

Believe me. I've been playing this game for a long time, since version 0.2.
Yes, the authors spend too much time on the game and it's sad. The game will soon be 10 years old. During this time, they had a lot of problems and failures. They lost contact with their animation artist who did the cum animation for them. Sacha had family problems, the authors were looking for new people to work with them. Now Sacha is living off the game and development. I thought that this game until version 1.0 would be the best project about futa x male. But alas. The authors began to delay releases, cancel them, and make many parts of the same story. I thought that after the masterpiece 0.3a they would be fine, but after writing the 0.6 update everything went to hell.
Long working hours, a lot of voting for game ideas that they never realized. And what did they realize? Cumflation, hyper cock (it's still not what they promised) and foot and pee fetish.
What were we supposed to realize? More stories for characters that have existed for a long time, but no. They decided to add new ones and not care about the old ones. I was even once in their company on some server. It's kind of like Discord, but long before it. There was a lot of food for sale there and only a small part of it got into the game.
They fill in various gaps with the help of other artists, but it's not what it used to be, it's not the same atmosphere and great artists as xxxx52.
Renee, Draga, Artemis, the police chief, a school teacher, a Goth girl, and others. There are a lot of characters to realize. But they don't want to. They need to come up with new ones and just forget the old ones like a dream.
Yes, they are working on Renee, but how did it start? Some other new girl? Why? Why not Rye? Her younger daughter (Rye's sister)?
In general. The game was good once, about 5 years ago. Then it only got worse, Sally and Wallis was good by the way.
But waiting for one update for almost a year is too much

I remember it like it was yesterday... 0.3 was the real BUM!!! In the game and many started playing it when the Rye route came out, it was the one that opened the door to long routes in the game as well, after that we had ups and downs as time went by, we had great and good routes like Claudia and Wallis (part 1), a small but pleasant route with Sally and bad and horrible routes with Demetria and Mallory. Now we have a SUPER GIANT route for Renee, but instead of focusing on her straight away, what do they do? They introduce more random characters that nobody asked for and nobody cares about, all around "lore" really? Fine, I want the route to be big, but having to have two updates in a row that don't involve the main character of the route? That's frustrating...it's even been said that the next update will have text and more text and hardly any images, t's really a bad joke.
I saw how much they were getting and month on their Patreon. It was ~3600 dollars a month. This was in the good times when they had more than 1100 subscribers, not like now 950+. Of course, everyone wanted to see posts for $20 and so on. But those days are long gone. There are f95, kemono and various sites where their game is available. I also think Steam brought them some money.
I think that after almost 10 years, they got tired. They didn't need to make a huge number of characters, but to develop the characters who already exist. Diamond doesn't have too many scenes, but enough to leave her at the post office and develop other characters like Rye's sister, futa goth, futa bimbo, police chief, teacher at school. Have you seen how many locations there are? They weren't all available at first. There was only a bar, a school, a gym, a park, and a small part of the city center. Later we added a church, a police station, more in the city center, a bar, and some apartments.
I once offered my script about a tomboyish girl who liked to paint graffiti around the city. It was rejected, they said it was good, but it needed to be realized, which is not easy. That's how I understand it.

A new game, either a sequel or a new one, but set in the same world as FDW, why not? There are plenty of ideas and characters to bring back to the game, as you said, and there would be no point in creating more and more characters scattered around. Renee is no longer a villain on the Rye route to have her own route and gameplay, this happened because of her immense popularity among those who played the game, I understand what they want for her, they want to create a big plot involving a lot of things from the world of crime, gangs and factions... but I wonder if all this will be enough? My fear is that it'll end up like the second part of Wallis' route - tons and tons of text and not much in the way of visuals. It's fine to want to tell a good story in a porn game, but if it's badly written it becomes draggy and boring. Their high point in knowing how to balance text and image was precisely on Claudia's route.

Wallis two felt like a bad joke.
They said themselves they were surprised how much the fans like the hardcore nature of the Wallis route. They clearly didn't. So instead of giving the fans what they wanted they made bottom of the barrel tumbler tier never ending fanfic. The little porn there was in it felt like they put in begrudgingly put because they had to.
I expect them to begrudgingly do the absolute minimum to keep milking the people still supporting them.

If we pretend that the second part of her route never existed, it would be perfect for a long route. The interaction between the MC and Wallis was well done, with lots of interaction, development and, most importantly, several encounters and sex scenes. In Claudia's route, the low point was that she let the MC do everything by himself, I say that because not that he was capable of doing it, but not participating in the right way was a low point. It seems that they take a character and a new route, improve some parts and worsen others, I hope that the team are really committed to making Renee's route, which so far has no Renee...which is an irony

This would all be half as bad, if they would just communicate a release date and stick to it.
They have communicated the release date before but never stick to it....... now they don't want to do it any more.

Oh wow, haven't checked here in a while but I felt like I was going insane when I saw what they had done with Wallis' route. Tbh, I felt the same about Claudia's story. I felt like her "police brutality" route could've been done much better and had moments in it that were much hotter than the weak ass polycule "good ending".
There's something so incredibly lame about being preached about the morality and ethics of my fetish by a video game when I play said game specifically to indulge in these ideas that are obviously impossible irl. This game has its roots in a 4chan post and the creators desperately need some of that "edginess" back rather than all this weird sanitized shit. No one is asking them to write the most incredible, human, well-rounded character in the world, we all want to be dommed by some horny goddess and if we get a cool story out of it, that's great. But nope, subversions, subversion and more subversion. Like, this isn't even some well-established fetish with libraries worth of material out there, atleast write a real story before subverting the shit out of eveything.
I guess the warning signs had always been there with Suni and Vicky.

Best comment on the game I saw.
People accuse me of glazing Void Pilgrim but fuck it, cant' help but compare both games. Star Periphery delivers very frequent high-quality packed updates, and, most important, the game stays true to what it always promised to deliver.
