no wonder VR mode is broken in this. there is supposed to be a VR option in the main menu.

I have this in the first mission, when you get surrounded at the teachers podium.
It seems to be being caused when you take a specific girl out.

I don't think there's much difference besides the nudity, but I've only played the Switch versions of these, so far. Gal Gun 2 came out first, so this was the first one I played. But after fully enjoying this, and getting Double Peace when it came out, I found it to be a little disappointing. That's just me though. Double Peace just didn't seem to have as much freedom. Still enjoyed it, just the same.
I keeps crashing regardless what i do or remove. No clue what its trying to do. Or how to fix it. After 30 seconds it just closes out. I don't even have the option to run it in japanese using locale emulator.
Seems to me skipping the tutorial/first part fixed the crashing issue. Not entirely sure but seemed to work so far. Only time will tell.
Was able to play part of it but crashed again with a fatal error later.

2024, game still crashes after :/ ... tried every single fix (hosts file edit, firewall allow/remove, remove all mods, create shortcut and -nohmd launch parameter to avoid OpenVR launch/issues, matched pc resolution to game to avoid rescaling, ... ?)
Anyone else where none of these solutions worked for them, find a fix?
What I find suspicious/noteworthy or ... new?:
a. The game will close EXACTLY at 60.0s (every time) after loading into the into video -- regardless if in a menu, started playing or left on intro video
b. The game will alternatively crash when changing a resolution setting and confirming UNLESS I switched to a windowed mode and resolution.
Stuck on Win 11 may also be another issue, and don't have alternative OpenXR options currently other than SteamVR (and I'm not trying to play in VR at the moment, thus the -nohmd tag)
EDIT: Ironically I can play Gal Gun VR (in non vr) without this crash, which I understand is essentailyl the same, but really wanted to give a go at the full game and mods and such :/)

if the game is closing after a set period of time it could be your Anti-virus going off or doing something to evalute the program. Honestly not sure what is causing the game to act like that.
Hmm.. yeah I was checking if anything was flagging but not a single event or warning showing through. Very odd, never seen any program behave so "precisely" before. Will look deeper at it though
I'll see if i can dig up logs too for a clue. Thanks for the tip regardless! (Might be more to it than first glance, we'll see!)

Many posts mid 2024 are saying it's the pre-installed nude mod. Many people can't get past the tutorial, leading to an crash. And since it's crashing in the same spot for a lot of people, it has lead me to believe that this is not an isolated incident.
In my professional opinion? You should check with the distributor to see if he/she/hi/hir can clean up and fix the files if you can contact them.
all you have to do is delete the mod folder same as double peace back when it was on this site
the VR dlc doesn't look like its worth it tbh imo. I don't see anything thats exclusive the VR dlc besides just being able to play the game in vr and stuff.
