Overview:
You are a fanfiction writer who gets kidnapped by aliens.
But instead of being probed or experimented upon you are taken to a space station run by a mysterious rich backer,
who selects a single member of each known intelligent alien species to write more for them to read. Y
ou are the only human on a writer's retreat space station filled with different alien species.

Look at plant ladys hands pinching the coin, looks kinda off. Also 3 or 4 of them have the exact same face with changes to expressions, which isnt super uncommon, but in this case safe to assume it might be AI generated faces with certain software preferring a style of face. Also considering how they handle hair in front of eyes, this games art seems super conflicting. Sometimes eyes clip through hair sometimes hair is "on top" its super inconsistent.

Edit: Found the artists page, seems like AI prompted but artist touchup/recreation at least in the case of this work. Not the rest of theirs really. But no clue.

We're reaching a point where carefully trained AI can avoid a lot of the more common pitfalls. They can do hands and fingers fine now, assuming they're not cannibalizing. Like Cansuuur says above, a better tell nowadays is consistency. But even that isn't a perfect tell, especially in a case like this where it seems there's been some post generation touchup by a human artist.

I think nowadays you kinda just have to trust your gut; if something "feels" like it's giving you that AI vibe, there's a decent chance you're right. There's a decent chance you're wrong too, of course, so it's always worth it to do a little digging into the artist themself if you care about avoiding AI art.

According the game's Twitter account, the artist is Knightfang.

Having a very brief scour it appears that they don't do AI art, they have sketches and PSD files on their Patreon.
